Just watched last night. First part of the movie was good. Nice and creepy. Movie goes downhill quickly though after
[Show spoiler] ...Definitely not a bad movie. Just not up there with the recent horror films It Follows and Honeymoon. |

Watched it tonight and thought it was terrible. I think it has some potential, but the overall plot is rather thin and nonsensical.
Not to mention, why does every horror film feel the need to use excessive gore? Last edited by Scottie; 10-09-2015 at 11:32 PM. |

[Show spoiler] There may be a logical explanation of why this stuff happened, but I either missed it or it went sailing over my head. It's a simple haunted house movie that needed way more explaining than it should have.I think half the fun in haunted house movies is you rarely see the monster and they throw full shots of the spirits at you within the first half hour leaving nothing to the imagination. Boo. To top things off, the acting is sub-par as well and that's surprising with a decent actress like Barbara Crampton. The script certainly left something to be desired. I guess I was just hoping for too much from this film. |

I think it is striving for the same style. I liked that film, but then again I was born in the seventies!

I'm glad I only paid $8.50 for it because I thought it was absolutely dreadful, and the acting was particularly bad. It wasn't even remotely scary or unnerving. I agree with the problems Adcatalano pointed out above. My husband called it a night and went to bed halfway through, and it took everything I had not to join him. I finished it, but I'll never sit through it again.

I consider this FAR Superior to House of the Devil. I've watched both within the past 3-4 months as well so the comparison is fairly recent. I much MUCH prefer We are Still Here. The only area where We Are Still here really suffers, is its insistence on using CGI. Less shown in that area would have gone much farther, but Overall I really liked We Are Still Here and consider house of the Devil an ok time killer at best.
