People just going to believe what they want to believe. Here in this case, is that Canada couldn't possibly be getting a superior product than what was made available to 300 million American's right? lol So they have to be metalpaks, no matter what the release company says they are!

Its not about believing, its about the facts.

Fact # 1, Sony is the distributor for these films in both countries.

Fact # 2, Best Buy USA owns Best Buy Canada.

Fact # 3, Best Buy USA lied to its consumers and plastered all over their website that these are Steelbooks, when infact they were MetalPaks.

Fact # 4, Scanavo has not done anything to have Best Buy USA change the listing on the Best Buy USA website.

So you can't blame the 300 million Americans that ask you for proof because of the assumption that were made do to the "facts".

If it walks like a steelbook, and talks like a steelbook, it must be a MetalPak? They sure look like steelbooks to me too.

The US versions (the reason this thread got relegated to the metalpak forum ) didn't picture steelbooks, just a plain cover, straight on. A steelbook description + a steelbook photo sounds good to me. Hope to see this moved back to the steelbook forum soon.

These "facts" are blown away by one CONFIRMED fact about the Canadian releases: Scanavo's own official Facebook page displays it with the unique SteelBook spine. Yes, it SHOULD be moved back to the SteelBook forum -- that is, unless there's some proof that Best Buy Canada (*not* USA; the last I checked Minnesota is *still* mostly south of the 49th parallel, and I don't think there's a BB anywhere near Lake of the Woods ) has changed them to MetalPaks since Scanavo's announcement.

Right. And I clearly labeled this as the Canadian thread, had nothing to do with the American one.

Thus, Canadian product differs from the American product. But I see what you're getting at.

However I think it's time this thread be moved back to the original section where I originally posted it eh?

This is what I was wondering. The cover art is breathtaking, but it's no deal if it's missing the special features on disc two.

Thanks for letting me know. Damn, that's kind of disappointing as I wanted that documentary on T.E. Lawrence as well.

Can't believe they want $22.99 for The Equalizer and only $14.99 for the other two. I get that The Equalizer is only a year old but still...
