Uuummmm...yeah, I don't know what the hell people are whining about. The graphics look very good for 10 year-old game.

Watched an unboxing video of the American edition and the Music CD comes in a paper case rather than a plastic case.

Exactly. Nintendo did a really piss poor job of advertising the game properly but in lowering our expectations it actually made it better.

7/10

Just swooped this up today. Never played the other versions. Pumped. Have not played since the 64.

I'm about 2 hours in. Playing this for the first time. Absolutely loving it so far. Something about Zelda games just makes me smile. Always has. Happy to be back on board.

Gorgeous. Loving this playthrough immensely. Just escorted the "burning wagon" and wiping the sweat off my brow. Now on to Zora temple...

Goron mines done, love this game once you shake off the slow opening.

Agreed. That's the one thing I'm beginning to not like about the more modern Zeldas. They take too damned long to get going. I also just finished the mines and sitting at about 8 hours play time.

Finished the main game today and I loved it! I do admittedly still have to complete the Cave of Ordeals but for now I'll put that on pause because Pokkén's arriving on Friday.

Definitely. During the early hours it was kind of boring but as the game progressed it got way better and much more interesting.

EDIT: I'd give the game a 9/10 but since I encountered some weird bugs and "Hero Mode" uses the mirrored Wii version it's not a perfect score. Still totally awesome!

Anybody else having volume issues with this game? There seems to be two categories of games for the WiiU when it comes to audio in my house. Loud or low. This is one game where I have to give the amp another 4 notches to hear comfortably.

Are the audio settings on your Wii U set to Surround or Stereo? I had an issue with some games' audio that it didn't work properly and after switching to the Stereo option it was fixed.

I honestly can't remember which was the game but no probs since then.

Just started the game. Vaguely remembering certain parts. I find the fishing a little more difficult without the Wii Remote.

I have a question about data saving on the amiibo. I bought this game mainly for the amiibo that comes with it, since I'm collecting all the Zelda amiibo but don't own a Wii U. I heard that you can save your profile data to the amiibo... my question is, would I be able to start playing this game on my niece's Wii U and then in the future if I ever get my own, continue the same profile by just scanning the amiibo, or would I have to start over from scratch? Depending on what the NX actually is when it's finally released, I might just get a Wii U to play Breath of the Wild (I heard the NX might only play downloaded games).

Good question. I'm not sure if the Amiibo data is NNID based or not. I think the Smash Bros Amiibo let you take your data to a friends system (which would be a very similar situation) but I'm not certain.

Has anyone played the wolf dungeon that the amiibo unlocks? I never opened my doggie, it looks nicer in the window box than it would collecting dust with the rest of the collection, and if the extra dungeon doesn't really offer anything substantial, I'm content to leave it in the package.

I know it gives you a friend in the new one, but TBH I haven't been in a hurry to play that one.

The main prize is a wallet upgrade so if you need that it is worth it. Otherwise if you arent using it for breath of the wild it doesnt benefit you much if you want to keep it sealed. I have an nfc card i sell for $5 if you would like to use the amiibo for its in game uses.
