Hey guys, I am a German, living in the US for quite a while and I like these so called History shows. Believe me one thing, I've been to school in the 80ies and we've been tortured with all this historical dates from 6th to 9th grade. I still can recall certain dates from this years of dark German history.
We also learned back then that the Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, searched merciless for Nazis and found most of them. They even found an unimportant private, nowadays almost 100 years old, wheel chaired and brought him to justice.
Even though the show is really entertaining, but I can't take this kind of fact building for real.
If Hitler really escaped back then, the Mossad would've found him, for sure.

Season two is now a couple episodes in and to me it's still very compelling. I would tend to think a power hungry person such as Hitler is not going to go out shooting himself if he had viable options of escape and regroup.

The reason I don't tend to think this is the same as ancient aliens or the many others is because this uses FBI, MI6, Russian and basically all declassified intelligence from the times.
Yeah, It really is fascinating with some of the info they have found out on the ground as well as from declassified files etc..

Not much a power hungry person can do if he's been stripped of all his power.

Yes but that fervor for finding them is exactly the reason the major players wouldn't want it to be known any of these people lived anytime in freedom. Like they were talking about Martin Bormann, say he did escape and lived in South America for 20 years. Would they want it known he escaped justice that long? Would it not be plausible that had they caught up with him many years later or had found he died in freedom they would just sneak him back and "find" his bones? I have no doubt they would have hunted them to the end of the world, but how long would that have taken to find and recover them? If they had would they have revealed it contradicting what was already believed, I think not.

Well for one the Mossad was not even established until nearly 1950 and for sure it would of taken years to gather and accumulate the intel needed to go and hunt high ranking Nazis around the globe, especially in those times. Don't forget these Nazis were protected and hidden in Argentina, they would of not allowed Mossad or any other group for that matter to wade around their country trying to locate them.

I'm a person that wants fact, not a history book with someone's opinion of what happened, which is basically all we have at this time. We have more proof of high ranking officials getting out of Berlin then it being impossible to leave, this group has essentially presented a sound theory of how it would of been possible of his escape. I got nothing presented to me showing that Hitler took his own life that day in his bunker, nothing! Not only that what they do tell people is a perfect attempt at covering up a death such as burning the body.

And really the last thing is about governments not telling the truth as we know they ALL do it, especially in those days with the way news was distributed. The last thing the Allies would of wanted after a long war was this headline "Berlin falls and Hitler is nowhere to be found".

However, we probably will never find out what had happened back in 1945.
I agree on one point, which is, it would be embarrassing to admit that Hitler escaped.
I started my own research though the internet and I found several theories about it. Some are supporting the idea that he fled to South America, this idea is around since a while. Even the Simpsons made a small joke about it (which was great). Other sources referring to Hitlers personal Adjutant, which got interrogated by the allies and confirmed that he dragged the bodies of Hitler and Braun in the back yard and burned them.
Sure that's only one survivor which gave testified his death.
I don't doubt at all that a lot of Nazi crime perpetrators escaped in the chaos of the last days of war. But I like to bring back to mind where they found the great dictator Saddam Hussein, somewhere in hole in the ground.
But again, the show is quite entertaining and I enjoy watching it.

Default History's Hunting Hitler

Entertaining & interesting for me, enjoying this series!

Quote:
According to documents that were declassified by the FBI in 2014, Adolf Hitler may have survived World War II and fled to South America following the fall of Nazi Germany. In this series a team of investigators — led by 21-year CIA veteran Bob Baer and war crimes investigator John Cencich — undertakes a definitive search with the goal of finding out whether the notorious dictator actually survived the war and pulled off one of history’s greatest disappearing acts.

In Season 3 Bob Baer recruits one of the world's most foremost terrorist targeting officers, Nada Bakos. Enacting a new hunting strategy so effective it led to the capture of Osama bin Laden, the team uncovers two planned escape routes for Hitler out of Germany: one to the north and one south. Along the southern route, Tim and James discover a vast tunnel system under Hitler's home. Up north, Lenny and Gerrard investigate a massive Nazi compound hiding under the perfect cover.

I've always heard a theory that the Russians took the bodies of Hitler and Braun for medical experiments but going with the theory that this show puts forward that Hitler survived and made his way to South America would be interesting if true.

Not sure if anyone has ever been to Berlin but if you go there, you can take a nice 4.5 hour walking tour with Insider Tours and one of the stops was on top of Hitler's bunker. I don't remember much about it except I think it was a parking lot. I want to say there was some dirt and gravel and maybe a few patches of grass. Anyway, I thought the reason that there was no indication of the bunker below (signs/plaques) was because, according to our guide, they didn't want to make it a rallying point for neoNazis.

Been following it since the first season and I'm still hooked on this show. They have really made a compelling case that Hitler in fact got away. At the very least many high ranking Nazi's were able to evade and escape capture, some that were also claimed to have died back in Germany.

I know a few here have laughed this off as made for TV nonsense but one side is giving factual evidence and creating a clear picture of what could of taken place, while the other side laughs and jokes and offers nothing else of substance in return.

I mean they are using Intel from MI6 and every allied intelligence agency in the world at the time. It was rather clear they were not just hunting your average Nazi soldier or even officer, they were clearly searching for Hitler well after his claimed death!

Absolutely their cinematography and locations they visit are drop dead gorgeous. Very much reminds me of a grand tour type video shoot, top notch quality imo which helps add to the show.
