Give me 5 minutes on a unixbox and I'll have him thinking I'm a CEO from Sony emailing him stating we're going hd-dvd exclusive CES08 even down to the IP sent from. The internet is so nice that way.

Egads! Why do people post pure speculation? I don't believe any rumors about major corporations until the Corporation itself makes an announcement. Speculation like this really hurts the industry. It just keeps people confused about buying new HD equipment. Yeesh!

The only thing I can think of is Disney going neutral, but for what purpose? Disney execs have bad-mouthed HD DVD from the beginning. Fox with the strains of Murdoch and company with MS are probably not ever going to lead to any sort of switch.

At the end of the day, what Bluray studio would prolong the war and cause a stalemate. It would be suicide for HD media.

However, given the lack of clarity in the message, it is so speculative it's not worth paying too much attention to.

notice blu-ray.com has never, ever posted a rumor that didn't come from a credible source. the only one based on pure speculation was from an hd dud troll.

keep in mind pro-blu director such as jerry bruckheimer work for disney and his movies have sold a lot of disney blu-rays. he has stated many times how much he loves bd. oh and by the way, don't think ridley scott isn't influincing anything over at universal about american gangster coming to bd, hes very pro-blu. he got a small hd dvd exclusive company in europe that held rights to kingdom of heaven to go neutral. in fact don't think spielberf and scott aren't pushing for uni to go neutral/

"Deep Throat?" Is that his pet name for Lee Stewart now?

I wonder if Rdjam's bosses at Jack in the Box knows he gets on their computer while he's at work.

No,Starz media is not that big in away. That guy is trying to piss off us in many ways and he will be changeing his tone onece he starts buying blu-ray movies, heck he might even start posting here once he relizes him and his Redneck budies have lost.

What a total retard! Absolutely a total FUD spreader! Wasn't Deepthroat the name of an informant in the Watergate scandal or something? It's just hilarious! Nobody is going neutral.

Yeah, and this rumor smells like that one that stunk up this forum a couple months ago. Somebody is having fun with him. Possibly revenge for that incident?

what probably happened is that rdjam went into best buy to pick up his excellent transfer of anchorman and decided he wanted to hear a little anecdotal. so he put his dud back and went to the guy standing closest to the hd dvd players and played "dumb" and asked how these things were selling cause he was intrested. of course the sales guy is going to say that they are doing fairly well. then he probably asked why no disney, fox, mgm, sony, or lionsgate movies were on hd dvd. the hd dud salesman told him that he heard that fox was considering going neutral so he could sell a player. so rdjam comes in to his website and tells everybody deep throat told him there was going to be a studio change.

except universal. graffeo has already said that ge is putting him under pressure to go neutral, the contract is up, big producers of the studio favor blu-ray, one won't let his big box office hits come out on hd dud exclusivly, they've been lurking around blu-ray plants, and our own insiders gave us a "hint". imo universal has a better chance of going neutral than wb does exclusive. and if they do we are sitting in better shape than b4 the paramounted***** catastrophe.

I seriously hope that he doesn't put his tiny blog on the same level as the the critically acclaimed Washington Post.

This is true indeed. But I hope if they do, they we don't end up with the recycled Universal trash that they have been releasing on Red. Though it would still be great to end this war. You know, I thought GE was looking to sell off Universal Studios, why doesn't a member of the BDA, or a few of them pool their resources and buy the damn studio? They each can have a percentage stake in it, and then they can "reassign" Graffeo to a new job, whatever that may be.

Lets see. First is the e-mail saying he has some juicy news about a BD exclusive studio going neutral. Hmm. Doesn't seem to make any of the Blu-ray people anxious or nervous. Well, lets make up some more information say I have a credible source and ad a little more information, its gonna happen real soon, that will get em worked up. Hmm. Well that's not working either.

Next he may even come out and say which studio "MIGHT POSSIBLY" be going neutral and see if anyone takes the bait for that one.

As one level headed neutral supporter on highdefdigest stated, that website if full of outright lies and misinformation. What a great way to show support for your format, lie about the competition.

And DAMN IT! No news websites are jumping at this like the WB Blu-ray exclusivity rumor! Where did I go wrong?

Okay let's debate the issue because I can't believe how many ridiculous people have still kept this thread alive.

Blu-ray has lead 2:1 in software for the ENTIRE YEAR and just won Neilsen last week 76:24 (posted tomorrow). Pirates 3 very nearly tied 300 (Blu-ray might I add) for most sales in an opening week with 160,000.

Total capable Blu-ray players will cross 3 million by the end of the year compared to about 1 million capable HD DVD players. 3:1 lead for you challenged folks.

Latest "rumor" from 6 different souces (Businessweek, Lionsgate, Pali, BR Insiders [I'll admit that can look biased], New York Times, Swanni) all have Warner going Blu-ray exclusive in early 2008. Why in the world would any Blu-ray studio jump ship with that potential.

Disney: Has created and personally taken part in the "Blu-ray disc Tour" covering malls across the country educating people about Blu-ray. If you have been do Disney World or Disney Land lately they have MASSIVE signs, banners, displays, videos at the entrance to their parks talking about Blu-ray.

New Line: Technically already is Neutral so if that's what you're bragging about "getting" then I shouldn't have to say anything more.

Lionsgate according to Wikipedia: "Lionsgate began to self-distribute its titles on home video after acquiring Trimark Pictures and its in-house home video division, allowing them to end a home video distribution agreement with Universal. After the purchase of Artisan Entertainment, whose home video distribution was handled by Fox, Lionsgate picked up Fox as a home-video distributor." So they abandoned Universal (Red) and went with Fox (Blu) for home distribution. They aren't going anywhere until Fox does and Fox isn't flipping because of BD+ (as much as all you red fanboys hate it).

Do I really need to keep going? Put this thread and FUD to rest already.

It was meant with the same "PS3 doesn't count as movie player" arguments. And people even tried to say HD DVD sales were "gaining" on Blu-ray. I asked if they were gaining how come the YTD or SI numbers don't budge and that got glossed over. This guy is an absolute joke. He's just trying to kill some Blu-ray momentum, maybe discourage some more disc sales but KEEP THE BLU-RAY SALES GOING!!

they no longer can say wb is going hd dvd with any credibility so they have to say a blu studio is going neutral. its the ONLY way they can justify hd dvd
