Bon Qui Qui winning was purposely done as a joke. Ms. Swan or Stuart would have won if they were truly doing a poll, but the joke was no one would have expected Bon Qui Qui to win or even be nominated.
The special was disappointing because they didn't show complete sketches. Some new ones would have been cool too. But in fairness it would be hard to put 20 years in a one hour with commercials show. I do think they should bring MADtv back. The CW brought Whose Line Is It Anyway back and it seems to be doing well enough. Why not put it on the CW on Saturday? |

It truly was a waste of time. If they had sticked to some original content (in this case , original skits) it would've made the reunion a whole lot interesting and entertaining.
I was a big MADtv fan back in the good old days. Never missing their Saturday broadcasts. I got a little nostalgic with last nights broadcast but in all honestly it was horrendously done. |

And yes, I'd like to see MadTV return with the original cast members if they're willing. At the very least, bring back the reruns and show them Saturday night or weekdays or something. |

I didn't expect anything new... I expected a clip show... but I also expected to hear the cast sitting and talking to each other about the show. What we got was a bunch of partial skits, no complete ones at all, and not even all the good ones that I remember... and very little of real talk from the cast members.
It was disappointing all around, and the cast members deserved a lot better for a reunion show than they got. |

I appreciated the special for what it was, but I agree that the cast and fans deserved far better than a "greatest hits" (which is what a small majority of season 13 and 14 were). In a perfect world, The CW would pick this up at least as a limited series. SNL just doesn't match the immature and politically incorrect humor that MADtv did so, so well.

by Liam Mathews Apr 11, 2016 "MADtv", the late-night sketch comedy series that ran for 14 seasons from 1995 to 2009 on Fox, will be making a somewhat unexpected comeback on The CW, the network announced Monday. "MADtv" will return for eight new one-hour prime-time episodes. A premiere date and cast will be announced at a later date. The cast will consist of fresh-faced new comedians, with original cast members returning to host. I hope this means that they will release seasons 5-8 on DVD now since those were some of the strongest seasons Last edited by kp404; 04-12-2016 at 02:55 AM. |

When MadTv was really rolling it had some of the best sketches around and it didn't kowtow to the PC crowd.
Will Sasso and Aries Spears were always great in the same sketch. Remember the Snicker's commercial parody making fun of profiling? Anything Kenny Rogers was gold (especially Kenny taking the dairy challenge or attempting to catch a baseball with his teeth). |

Mad TV last week was a mostly entertaining start to the brand new cast, but mostly because Will Sasso was the guest star with Nicole Sullivan.
I hope they bring back Mo Collins for a show if possible too, and other classic cast members. For the new cast, I have to watch it this Tuesday to get a better idea, but each show is 1 hour so far. Mad TV new season on Tuesdays, 8/9 PM depending, July 26th was the first show, 2016. |

I noticed tonight Madtv is a repeat of episode 1 already. Not sure what that is about since the series just started. I was waiting for the newest episode since we're only about 4 weeks into the series. I missed last week's show. |

She is comical on the show so far with some good character parts. I hope the show gets a second season, but we'll see how it goes. |
