Rey must be Lukes daughter.
I loved the film, but General Snoke was disappointing. He seemed like a generic CG bad guy.

I just hope before Luke dies that we see him as new head of Jedi council.

The title, The Force Awakens, has everything to do with Rey's character, methinks.

We do not yet know her background, but, yes, this movie gets the ball rolling in that regard.

Luke: Han Solo never told you what happened to your father. I am you father!

Rey: NOOOOOOOO!! It's impossible...

another scene:

Finn: I love you.

Rey: I know.

I feel these lines will be said in Ep8. Maybe not Reys response but yeah you know..

So who do you think will be frozen in Carbonite at Landos new mobile mining facility that perpetually walks on the dark side of a mining planet.

Cheers,

Also, I wanted to see General Phasma kick ass, but I guess we will see that in future films.

I don't think its an accident that Rey looks a lot like a young Carrie Fisher.

Max von Sydow's early scene... Hell to the yeah!

His inclusion in this movie was such a wonderful nod to cinematic past, with his roles in The Seventh Seal and Flash Gordon.

He was distracting on screen and felt more like Ender's Game than Han Solo. The new cast was so amazing that by the end of the movie I was ready to move on with them (reuniting with Luke) and leave AARP Han and Leah behind.
Qui-Gon got a funeral. Obi Wan is kinda understandable because the only person who really cared about him in The Falcon was Luke. Leia, understandably was a little upset because she thought he was their hope for beating the Empire. And then before they knew it, they had Tie Fighters down their throats.

Well, we don't really know that. As far as we know, Leia is not pregnant in Return of the Jedi. What transpires between the events of Return of the Jedi and Kylo turning bad, we don't know. So in that time frame, Leia gets pregnant, Luke creates a new Jedi Academy, and then when Ben (Kylo) gets old enough, eventually he is seduced by the Dark Side. What Han does in that amount of time is not explained. We do know that Han left when his son turned to the Dark Side. But that's it.

The crawl worked, the space shot panning down to a planet with First Order ships above it worked, the troop carrier lighting up gave me chills although there was one trooper that was a foot taller than the rest.

When the troop carrier doors opened and I saw a Stormtrooper already down from the other carrier I knew the villagers were not going to go down without a fight.

Poe's X-Wing having a drop down gun? A_FOOKING_MAZING!

BB-8 would have shocked Jar Jar on the spot.

Garbage can fly!

Why didn't anyone stand up to guy who dispensed the food to the scavengers?

Can I ask? What the hell have they done to C-3PO? Anthony Daniels sounds terrible, like a little girl. I hope I do not offend little girls, but he sounds like he is on speed.

Why is R2 is low-battery mode? So, he doesn't get caught and give away secret information? Or was he just sad? Or did Luke tap him on the head and basically program him to 'sleep' until the time was right?

The similar story feel to a New Hope and Empire makes it a little to familiar, but I still liked a lot.

Droid with needed information, bad guys kill to find the droid and young character wanting more in life finds and starts the adventure with droid.

Young girl meets people who will help complete the task, but she is reluctant to join until something pushes her past a point-of-no-return.

People tortured for information... Yoda type cave to show young character something good/bad in the past/future.

Death Star 3.0, that worked for me over Death Star 2.0 which bugged me growing up...

Han dying sucks, I was spoiled for the past two years... but was hoping it was false information tossed out there to throw us off... and Chewie was really killed.

It is crazy that the leaked information for the past two years was all pretty much correct.

My favorites order for me (45 years old and saw all movies in theaters).

1. A New Hope
2. The Empire Strikes Back
3. The Force Awakens
4. Return of the Jedi

.... and the storm troopers looked fantastic, so much better then the prequels. Shows that when possible real life looks amazing compared to cgi. (Not the best structured sentence, but you know what I mean)

Any one else see anything or hear any lines that reference the prequels?

Kylo mentions the clone army. I saw a Mandalorian flag in Maz Kanatas entrance with a bunch of other flags some look familiar others don't. A buddy of mine said that some of the flags look like the colors of the pod racers in EpI.

Anything else I probably missed.

Cheers,

Somehow, C-3PO looked like he had put on 20 pounds. He looked off.

Same. Personally, it was the biggest WTF moment for me.

It would be very lame if they managed to turn Ren into a hero or at least make him have the exact same arc as Darth Vader.
Make him truly unrepentant evil all the through or nothing please

Her story makes me think she was literally sold as cheap labor to the merchant who paid the scavengers in food rations in exchange for a passage out of the planet, and while I've seen the movie dubbed in Italian I know she has a british accent in the movie (so a core worlds accent in the SW universe) which doesn't really fit with her being daughter of any of the old cast as they are all from the outer territories (so with american accents).
I think she may be related to the origin family of some Jedi from the prequels, maybe a Dooku or a Kenobi.

I wish he would have had a larger role in the movie. Loved seeing him in this role.
