Exactly what I wanted too. Missed opportunity if they do ignore that completely.

Right. I certainly feel for the workers on that platform, but the story of the Deepwater Horizon is how absolutely unprepared everyone was for such an occurrence to happen. How few ideas they had in place, and how even those few ideas pretty much didn't work. That includes the horrible aftermath and everything that came with it.

This will be interesting to see. Lone Survivor was a smart and nuanced film so I'm still hopeful.

That poster is fantastic.

Yep - pretty useless looking. Plus being a Hollywood thing they'll assuredly blast the oil industry & shove some "climate change" garbage down our throats.

The entire thing is just so BLEH.

Am I the only one who kept waiting for the appearance of a strange deep sea creature the first time he saw the trailer? Haha! Seriously, for like the first half of the trailer or so, it totally felt like it was going to be a horror movie. Then I realized it was based on some real-life incident, which I'd never heard of before and had to look up after I got back home.

You had never heard of it? Wow, with the coverage it got I didn't think it would be possible not to know every terrible detail.

Those Imax posters are going to be the best thing that comes out of this whole project.

The second poster looks good, has a nice retro look to it. The other ones though just miss the tone of the film entirely.

I quite like the posters. I miss having actual artworks on posters. Most posters are super generic these days and feel the need to just have the leads heads or them just standing there in some way.

75% on RT right now. Most reviews are very positive saying it's a well-made disaster flick.

I've got a pass for tomorrow night. Glad to hear the early reviews are good. I'll post my thoughts after I see it.

$156 million dollar budget.

Tragic.

Surely it won't make that back.

I had multiple opportunities to see this via pre-screenings and passes.

I won't even seen this movie for free. It just looks so awful.
