Anomalisa isn't released until March in the UK, so the Awards will have gone by then. I don't really understand how their cut off date works though.

I understand. But Minions? They should put The Good Dinosaur. It's not amazing, but it's way better than Cash Cow.

So this are up on Sunday. Any sort of predictions anyone wants to make. I think this'll go against the tide in terms of the Oscars on a couple of things, so I think the BAFTA's will go for Spotlight or The Revenant. They also owe Iñárritu an award for last year that went to Linklater.

I loved the score and cinematography and the guy who played the husband was excellent, but I'm sorry I just can't abide Mara AT ALL and Blanchett's character was extremely unlikeable so I didn't have a lot of sympathy for her plight.

I just don't 'get' Haynes work.

To be fair, the BAFTA's are particularly pants this year, only the stuffy high-brow stuff allowed. Their most 'fun' pick is a film about finances.

But they gave Carol a place, so I can't complain to much.

But at the end of the day, Chris motto is still carried 'if you don't like the three films I liked, you're scum".
