Great news! I'd love to see the Rock Hudson and Gina Lollobrigida films be released on blu-ray too: 'Come September' and 'Strange Bedfellows'.

I'd take both those, and how about Man's Favorite Sport

That's the gayest piece of cover art I've ever seen.

Will wait on individual releases as well; the Pillow Talk digibook is a beauty.

Fitting for a Rock Hudson set then, eh?

Always great to see older catalog titles finally make it to Blu-ray. The fact that Universal is involved has me particularly excited because they also own the video rights to most of BOB HOPE's classic films. Sure hope some day we see The Road Pictures and other greats from Mr. Hope. I am always amazed at how this beloved entertainer seems to have been forgotten by the Blu-ray format.

I hope Universal will release "The Thrill of it all" very soon as well because that´s my favorite Doris Day movie.

I believe she did some commentaries for episodes of her TV series on DVD and the DVDs of her variety show specials. A couple of years ago she did voiceovers promoting her old series for MeTV. So she's not a total recluse. I think Robert Osborne of TCM has stated that she is the one celebrity above all others right now that he wishes he could interview. For me it's a near tie with Olivia de Havilland. I saw her interviewed in person in Los Angeles just a few years ago and she was great.

Doris also did a voiceover for TCM Spotlight when she was the star of the month. I bet she would do commentaries on her movies if asked and if recordings can be done at her home.....she has a fear of flying, from what I read.

Why? Because it has pink lettering?

Danny Kaye has been under represented too, even on DVD.

well, many classic stars for that matter:
Errol Flynn, Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, Fred Astaire etc. etc.
I guess the world needs more 4K/2K restorations of B horror movies, than classic films with these huge stars.

That cover looks absolutely dreadful. As though some exec commissioned their "gifted" relative to do it.

This just in.... my six year old cousin 'BILLY' did in fact do the cover for this box set

I saw some screenshots from the 2 new blurays, and I think they're coming from older HD masters and don't seem restored like Pillow Talk.

Send me no Flowers:

Lover Come Back:

What do you think?
It seems like the grain hasn't got the resolution it has in Pillow Talk.

You can't compare grain on on different films. The format isn't the same. The stock isn't the same. And on top of that no to films are photographed exactly the same.

The second screenshot looks very good. The first one not so much. Maybe it's from an optical.

My only question is what's the best way to alphabetize this set in my collection?
