The trailer was great, but after a few episodes I’m just not getting into it. Maybe I’ll leave it for now and come back to it another time with a fresh perspective.

First ep was interesting. Barely got through the second ep. Not motivated to continue on.

For me, episode 4 killed the momentum a bit. I thought episodes 2 and 3 were well done but once they got into the whole alternate fantasy world bit it just didn't carry over well enough. Ultimately this show was just too all over the place and didn't really create any poignancy.

Agreed 100%. The first three episodes seemed to be setting up something great, but once the pill-taking/dreams/alternate reality stuff happened the show fell flat on its face. Really did nothing interesting with the A/B/C pills and the show hardly added up to anything in the end. Super disappointing.

I decided to finally check this out today, and just finished watching the first 2 episodes. I like it so far and love the way they shot it. Has a very 80's blade runner type feel to it.

The series goes in many unexpected directions through the episodes... Just hold on people, don't give up based on the first two. That would be a mistake! They are important for what's coming, but not an indication for what you'll see. Somehow the idea reminds me a lot of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".

Loved the show, one of my favorite seasons of TV this year. Went in so many unexpected, fun directions.
[Show spoiler]Jonah Hill as the Swede was cracking me up.

Would love for Paramount to release a blu of it but I won't hold my breath

Not surprised by the divisive reactions. Really enjoyed the show.

Watched the first episode. Not quite what I expected so far, but it's interesting enough that I'll be continuing to watch of course.

I'm now on episode 8 and it's getting really intriguing. I've gotta say/type that it started off crazy slow, but it picked up steam quickly. Once they made the drastic landscape changes, I loved what was going down. Definitely different. And Emma's awesome in this.

This was so good...really disappointed that some of you couldn’t even bring yourselves to finish it because it’s honestly kind of brilliant. Ended in such a pleasing way too... oh well.

Agreed. The wife and I finished it tonight. Beautiful, wonderfully moving ending. Such an exceptionally creative show.

I really wanted to like this just based on the cast involved, but the 1st episode was just so depressing & boring, I honestly have zero interest to invest any more time into it (lord knows there is ALREADY enough Netflix shows that fall into this category as well).

Maybe at some point I'll give it another chance, but too many other shows to watch right now instead.

Wasn't even planning on watching this actually. I was highly anticipating The Haunting of Hill House, but I was so completely bored throughout it's first episode that I decided to watch this instead afterward on a whim. Ended up finishing it in one day, and loved it. This was exactly my type of thing. Strange and fantastical, and I really liked the characters. The humor always had me too. Stone and Hill were both great. Also really liked the score, as it added a bit of a whimsical element to it. Gives me another reason to be excited about Bond 25. Fukunaga did a great job directing this. Very cool one shot in the 9th episode. Hope this gets a blu-ray release in the future.

This is my favorite thing ever to come out of Netflix. Frame it, hang it on the wall, its beautiful and done. A s2 would probably spoil it

I still need to get to this. I had to delay it due to my Halloween programming viewing lol. Hopefully in early November?

The atmosphere in this is the best since True Detective Season 1; I can't look away.

I finished the series earlier this month. Emma Stone and Jonah Hill were at the top of their game, and I enjoyed the ending. The colors and cinematography were also well done. That said, it did feel quite slow (and weird) at times, and they could have truncated bits of it, but it all came together nicely at the end.

Wow, I thought I was alone in thinking this was kinda overrated - happy to see I wasn't alone in my feelings.

It certainly wasn't terrible, but far too long for what it was. Worth watching for Emma and Jonah, and Fukunaga's a great director, but I wasn't that enamored with it. Probably wouldn't watch it again, or a second season either.
