So I don't play all that many movies on disc, but when I do, I use my PS4 to play them. I never have had any issues, but recently I got 2 different Harry Potter sets, and 2 of the discs skip at certain spots, and the other doesn't even play. I tested these out on my PS3, Xbox One, and another PS4 I have access to, and it skips with the 2 discs on all Playstations, but plays on the Xbox. Then the disc that doesn't play, doesn't play on both PS4s or the Xbox, but does on my PS3. Obviously it's a problem with playing these discs on these consoles, and not the disc itself. Are gaming consoles just bad for playing Blu-Ray movies? Anyone else have issues like this?
And the main question, what would be a good Blu-Ray player to get? I know nothing about them. I want one that has good picture/sound, similar to how a PS4 plays discs, can play 3D movies, DVDs, and that can play other region discs, if that's available. Does anyone know of a player like this that I can get for under $100? |
