*enters by smashing through a wall on a wrecking ball a-la Miley* You called? (This has actually been next on my Penguindrum list after the JP BD Box, might as well own it 5+ times) although it was mentioned on page one. Not that I care ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Kaze published years ago (not anymore) in Italy, but discs were the same as in the other countries (1 disc that contains more languages and was distributed across different countries). The only real difference is in the packaging and the cover translation

Hmm... Dynit Death Note... The U.S. BD looked pretty good (for an upscale), and idea how it looks? I've seen some of their releases in screenshots and am impressed (especially Madoka). Since it came out this year, it probably uses the masters VIZ had.

Same master as VIZ but near as twice for the bitrate (15~20Mbps VIZ, 30~35Mbps Dynit avg.). This translate to less banding and more original grain preserved.

Hate to ask again, but how's Penguindrum? It's on 4 discs (6 per disc), and while it's probably than Sentai's release, I've never imported from Italy, so I'd like some reassurance on the PQ. (It's nice to have someone knowledgeable help with this. Though, I don't want to keep constantly asking questions and look like a pleb.)

I don't suppose there's any chance you could provide a few time stamped screenshots of your BD? I only ask as I own the MangaUK BD which is slightly brighter than Viz's and also at a higher bitrate, however I've noticed that a lot of Viz's recent encodes have colour/brightness issues of their own. In short I'm interested to know which looks closer to the source master.

Is the Italian Cat's Eye BD from Yamato Video any good? Are the subtitles locked?
The first set with ep #1-#36 is €20.39 on Amazon. The French release from All The Anime was apparently a disaster. Opening and episode previews were missing. |

It was rectified for the standart edition https://www.amazon.fr/Cats-Eye-Inté...ds=cats%27eyes,
Opening/ending are now present in each episode, they where in the bonus section before (For the kickstarter edition). Preview are unfortunatly still missing. |
