"Strange" movies make blind buying a tough call for me. Definitely need to try to watch this somehow before making the plunge. I wish I'd watched WHITE OF THE EYE before dropping $30 for that steelbook. That was one strange film.

I was going to say the same thing. You could even compare it to Body Double and if I'm making a stretch here, I apologize in advance, or even Blue Velvet.

I hope so. It's not one I've seen in its entirety but I've watched various clips on YouTube and it looks legendary. The dialogue in the opening scene is poetry.

So excited! This is one of my favorite Ken Russell movies. I second Wh*re for a blu-ray release, but what I'd really like to see is Salome's Last Dance on blu-ray. And The Devils, of course, but that's highly unlikely.

Funny how Wh0re keeps getting censored. I remember when that film came out on video, some stores had a version of the cover with a banner over the title: "If you can't say it, see it".

Watched this on cable back in the 80's and the billy club scene has been burned into my brain ever since.

Didn't she star in Body Heat?

Edit: And a A Simple Wish! I remember that movie. Used to watch it as a kid. Haven't seen it in a while.

Her breakout role. She'll always be Serial Mom to me though.

One of my most wanted titles! Gloriously bonkers film with, in my mind, a legendary performance from Kathleen Turner. Can't effin wait.

I have The Devils on Laserdisc, but haven't got around to watching it...

Don't bother, it's shredded. The only available version of this amazing film that's worth watching is the import R2 DVD from the BFI, which is the complete British theatrical version, as opposed to the butchered American theatrical version. And even the British theatrical version is missing a crucial scene that was cut before release under threat of the BBFC.

Great news. One of my very favourite Ken Russell films. I saw it over and over again when it was released in cinemas (thankfully in my part of the world 'uncut' version). A must buy!

The film is great fun, a little bit like Belle de jour meets Psycho with a fantastic performance from Kathleen Turner and Perkins dong his twitchy thing. Haven't watched it in a long time and looking forward to this.

mmm let's try this again...W#@RE

Theresa Russell is hilarious in this film

Another title never out on DVD in the U.S.
I kept looking for it, just like Love With The Proper Stranger...no luck

Can't understand why some titles never even came out on DVD!

Love With The Proper Stranger stars Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen...Really?

Are you on about the "Rape of Christ" sequence? It was played as part of the uncensored print on TV in the UK over 10 years ago. Not long after, some canny shite got hold of a DVR'd copy of this screening, converted it to NTSC and knocked out copies on DVD under the "Angel Digital" label.

Obviously, they were completely illegal and are like gold dust these days.
