They put our kmart out of its misery. I’ll never forget Black Friday 8 yrs ago.
A packed store and one register open. The line was about 75 people deep. Store sucked

In the 80s Kmart was great. We’d even eat at the restaurant they had (a legit restaurant with waiters and everything)

The last Kmart I set foot in was about 10 years ago when I was looking for the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player on clearance. I'm pretty sure that store went out of business shortly thereafter. The shelves were pretty much empty.

Lack of selection and crappy merchandise quality seem to be the main reasons why Kmart is sucking these days. The sizable apparel sections at the stores I've visited have all been disorganized and cluttered. When shopping at Kmart most people have carts and you can't navigate those narrow areas between racks with a cart. But it's the quality of the merchandise that bothers me. And the lack of variety with sizes. Everything seems to be either small or medium or 4XXX and up lol.

The Kmart near me is either remodeling or closing - can't tell which. What these guys need is a major makeover and more merch for younger folks.

they're closing another 103 locations (combined) of both sears and k-mart. no list of which locations in which states/cities, though.

24 straight quarters of losses MIGHT have something to do with it.

The final nail is in the coffin, the fat lady has sung, dead meat, deep six, the groundhogs are bringing the mail, it's over. Super Kmart Centers are gone and all that is left are memories of what once was.

The final Super Kmart Center closed forever yesterday in Warren, Ohio, bringing to an end Kmart's 27 years-long expansion into the Supercenter division. While there are still approximately 400 Kmart discount stores open nationwide, none of those are Super Kmart Centers with a full line of groceries including produce, deli, bakery, dairy, refrigerated and frozen foods.
