I didn't see Extinction (or Apocalypse for that matter), but Milla Jovovich is nekkid or at least bra-less in [almost] every movie she ever does. I can't think of single film off the top of my head where she wasn't. One of my roommates and I were laughing about that last night. Is Extinction any different?

I just can't imagine watching a movie with some talking head in one of the corners of the screen. Years ago there was a gimmick on Mac called the talking moose which would pop up once in a while and make some silly statement...

I don't remember any of Milla nakedness in dazed and confused but I could rent it again if I was mistaken.

Good call... I think she was underage at the time (16 or 17, right?), so she might not have been showing off the birthday suit at that point in time.

Is the PiP commentary at least interesting? I find that with audio commentaries on existing discs, they get very boring after the first few minutes and I can't imagine watching it the whole way through.

Didn't she show the goods in "Return to Blue Lagoon"? I think she was underage when she did that movie too...but its been a LOOOOOONG time since I've seen that movie and I could be mistaken.

Well, I just IMDB'd her and she was round 18 when she did Dazed and Confused, but she was definately underage (16ish) when she did the Blue Lagoon sequel.

Hmm...maybe someone should ask Mr. Skin

3rd Time posting this question anyone know this???

Obviously the Commentary is within the PiP screen but when you choose to watch a trailer via Pop Menu will it play within the PiP screen or open up a new screen like it currently does in previous discs?

This would be a cool demo option if you were to show a non HD person what IME, Bonus View, Profile 1.1.

If the Only PiP content that can be shown is the Director commentary this really is a feature I will probably rarely use but if ALL features were accessible via PiP this will be worth the hub bub and a cool and entertaining feature for those with a small attention span.

PiP is interesting, but honestly, who needs to see the ugly director, art director, producer, etc. providing commentary on the film. I can understand audio commentary, but PiP needs something else.

For example, you are dragged into watching another 'chick flick' by your significant other. PiP needs random funny blooper or stock chase footage, so that when the cliche and crocodile tears start stinking up the screen, you at least have a safety net to cling on to.

I remember when the Birth of DVD was going to be fueled by "Alternate camera angles"!
Be your own editor, and change cameras during a scene!...Get the full concert experience!...Eh, who cares about neat extras, they're just toys anyway!...

Aside from whether we could ever get it to work (my early player took so long to change angles, I'd wonder whether the camera had just changed anyway), did any title ever use Alternate-Angle outside of a few early-adopter porn titles?
Well, yes--It ended up becoming an important tool, for showing making-of footage (like the 007 movies, or "Frequency"), or for foreign-credit sequences on the other language options, and other bonus items for which we didn't know why that button was still on our remotes.

No one cared about the "neat-o" toy when we were first handed it, but it became necessary as a functional tool when we did need to use it.
I'm not shoveling dirt on PiP just yet, just because I didn't happen to like Resident Evil.

I've got Lionsgate's "War" on right now to test out the PS3. Pretty dull stuff I have to say. About every 5 minutes or so, the director shows up in PIP and you can see him saying his commentary. Then the PIP goes away, he keeps talking. A few minutes later, the PIP comes up again and he's still talking. I guess they didn't want to keep the PIP up permanently so they just decided to use it intermittently.

Disney uses it regularly on some of their titles, with credits changed to respective language choices. Anime companies use it as well; FUNimation uses it on just about every release to provide the original opening and closings equences in their original Japanese text as well as an English language version.

why does everyone refer to HDDVD as "red"? The cases are brown like the color of a turd on the ground. Blu-ray is blue, like the beautiful, limitless sky.
