It was such a fun night getting to hear the story and then witness their fan film finally finished after 25 + years. They had for sale shirts, a book, and the DVD of the fan film. So the finished fan film is available for purchase and I haven't played it yet, but Eric did say in the Q&A that most of the finished footage of the fan film was 6th generation from the original footage so it looks pretty rough at times, but it doesn't matter. What they did is masterfully brilliant and fun and an altogether serious geek achievement.

If you can catch the roadshow find out about it here:

I'll definitely be getting the Blu-Ray, and most likely the DVD of the fan film is not included, but a purchase of the DVD helps them recoup the costs of the epic reshoot documented in the documentary.
Thanks for pointing out their website! I've now ordered the "Adaptation" DVD and it is now making its way across the country to me. It's a tad bit expensive, but I wanted to support the guys.

Of course I also pre-ordered the Blu-ray of the doc.

Intrigued. I'll have to check it out.

Watch the adaptation first or the doc?

I read somewhere about a 3rd guy being involved with the adaptation, but eventually the parted ways, maybe not on good terms? Anyone know the story?
