Speaking of making a condensed version..

and then this..

Man the final arc was so bad. All that fullbring nonsense. Nevermind that it had the impossible task of following the final conclusion of the Arrancar.

The Fullbring arc started ok, but then got weird when it went through the plot twist. But I was a fan of Riruka.

Glad I was able to resist their holiday dvd sale. The bd price seems reasonable for the runtime. May pick it up. Will inevitably compare the dvd and bd image.

Getting rid of those DVDs hasn't proven to be easy

I would buy it but hard to swallow the $500+ that it will cost for them all

Sales and discounts are inevitable.

no reason to be an early adopter if you're one of the majority of people that feel like this would be a hefty investment.

Well we'll see how good, or not, the bd upscale turns out soon enough.

Death Note turned out fine so I'm not too worried about that.

Damn, shows how late I've been, lol, b/c this looks like this news has been around for a few days now! Here I thought I was gonna stroll up in here and drop some bomb ass news on ya and it's already been known, XD! Interestingly, I just found out about this in an email reminder from a Web site called VideoETA--which I might add I completely forgot I had did (to let me know when Bleach was gonna receive it's first series Blu-ray release):

And 'No', that's not a lie on the date it said I signed up for that release reminder, [emoji38]. Apparently, July 2009 was literally how long ago I signed up for that! Needless to say I guess you could say I've been jonesing to see this come to fruition for JUST THAT LONG, lol.

Is there any info on if these are going to be Limited Edition sets with a booklet or something? I'm hoping the cases are like the Ranma and Deathnote LE's. The RS description doesn't mention a booklet or anything though.

Both the RSP ($54.97) and the box art height/width match those of the Ranma 1/2 limited edition artbox sets. My guess is that they will release the (13?) volumes first in limited edition format -- chipboard box, 3-disc Blu-ray case, and booklet -- and then in regular editions a year or so later, just like they did with Ranma. But it will probably depend on sales, I doubt that the last few volumes will sell super well given their less-than-watchable content.

I am betting these are just a simple case with a slipcover. Nothing as fancy as Ranma. Way to long of a series for it.

I love the Ranma releases so much. Wish every anime was handled like that.

Yeah the Bleach volumes will be handled similarly but the quality of the packaging remains to be seen. Fingers crossed for chipboard boxes on the first run.

You never know. That mockup of the packaging looks like the standard Viz chipboard box with cardboard tip-off. I'd message Charlene Ingram on twitter, she'd probably tell you

By any chance, has anyone bought volume 1? If so, how does it look?

A few users here have bought it. Far as I know, no one has commented on the video quality yet.
