I saw this in a dollar theater when it was originally released, and the person next to me fell asleep within the first half hour--never a good sign for a film that's trying to build suspense.

Yay! About time! Just wish it was a standalone release.

I wish this was a standalone release.

Seeing Camilla Belle at her most beautiful might be worth getting a second copy of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" though.

Oohh When A Stranger Calls has been on my wishlist for years. Shame it will be a double dip on I Know but Vacancy will be another welcome addition to my collection.

Love this movie. Great creepy setting...all alone in a huge house in the middle of nowhere. Very effective movie.

Hey DEF, what do you think the odds on the region coding for this one? I know some Mill Creek's are region free and some are not.

I may get this three-pack Blu if it's a decent price, but only because of "I Know what you did last Summer".

The WASC 2006 re-make is sub-par; it's a flashier but ultimately pale imitation of the original '70's version. This re-make is not a film I want to see more than once (I saw it in the theater back in '06).

Conversely, the original '70's When a Stranger Calls & the '90's sequel When a Stranger Calls Back (both w/Carol Kane) were amazing, and two of the best suspense flicks I've ever seen. These two would make an amazing Blu double-feature, but AFAIK only WASC is on Blu at this point.

I was looking to see if this was on blu not that long ago. Good news for me! Already have I know what you did, but don't have the other two. I don't really care if it's a triple feature as long as it looks good on my TV. Vacancy is a nice bonus, don't think I have that one yet.

This is one of the best slasher remakes out there! The original is known for it's opening, but the rest is just... difficult to get through. I liked that this remake took the best part and explored it deeper, milking the suspense and scares!

Hopefully it gets a solo release before I get around to picking the 3-pack up!

Now all we need is When a Stranger Calls... Back! from Scream Factory, the best film out of the entire franchise!

Loved this remake. Won't buy it because I own the other two already, and have this on DVD. Camilla is great, though Katie is underused in it. The remake is so much better than the original, which has a great first and last 15 minutes but a horrible middle section. This film manages to be consistently scary and tense, I love the bit with the guest house. A nice addition!

IKWDLS is my favorite slasher of all time (I know - "Get taste"). Pure nostalgia, my first ever horror film and easily my favorite cast. (Geller AND Hewitt?! Plus the stunning Bridgette Wilson) I wish it would get more than a bare bones release someday soon.

But the first 20 minutes are the best part...

Hey bud, I don't have many Mill Creek discs so I'm probably not the best judge. I'm pretty sure most Sony stuff is region free but I'm none the wiser about stuff they sub license. If no one gets to check before i get my hands on it i will report back post haste.

I already own IKWYDLS, but I don't mind double-dipping if this is cheap enough, though I can imagine they'll probably release a standalone edition at some point. I've never seen the remake of WASC, but I hear it tries to stretch the "Babysitter and the Man Upstairs" urban legend to a feature-length film (the original film just had it as the opening scene). If done well, it might be a poor man's Halloween, and I think it's at least worth checking out. Though I'm worried it might be like the dull 2008 "remake" (in-name-only) of Prom Night.

Where the Prom Night remake was a watered down, non-gory, non-scary, almost non-horror affair, this remake actually amps up the originals opening sequence (yes, into a full length film). It really explores the cat and mouse game, and I found it very suspenseful/entertaining all the way through. It adds to an already creepy prospect. There is one element from the original that the remake waters down and makes more PG but I won't spoil it!

Thanks dude, Mill Creek seem half and half on their region free status so fingers crossed. Obviously I own IKWYDLS but I don't have Vacancy on blu.
