Banjo-Kazooie, as with all of Rare's non-Nintendo-IP N64 titles, appears to be owned by Microsoft at this point, so its inclusion seems unlikely. I can see them working out a deal for Diddy Kong Racing and Donkey Kong 64, but the rest are probably out. Goldeneye would be even harder, since the rights aren't owned by Rare, Microsoft, or Nintendo. In fact, I have no idea who even owns the Bond video game rights; it was Activision for a while, but it seems like they maybe don't anymore. So that title's definitely going in. It sucks, but them's the breaks.

I assume a Mini N64 lineup would be almost exclusively Nintendo titles, since third party support for the N64 was really bad. It'll probably end up with even fewer titles than the Mini SNES, and likely retail for more as well. And I don't even know how they're gonna deal with the controllers - most likely, they'll add support for Wii U and Switch controllers so they don't have to cram 4 replica N64 pads in the box, because even Nintendo's not stupid enough to put out a console with Smash Bros. on it that can't support 4 players.

Nintendo owns the Donkey Kong IP so there will be zero issue putting any DK related titles in the N64 mini.

Since this console is inevitably happening sometime next year,there is a big question at hand. This console probably used alot more space, for each game than the super nes. I would not be suprised if an n64 game used anywhere from 300-500 mb per game. The mini nes and super mini nes had a 512 mb storage. How will they sell a mini n64, without jacking up the price by at least $50 more?? Thats the million dollar question.

As a followup to my last post,the n64 controllers will be mighty awkward in mini form. I think I will stop at gamecube mini ,if there is 1. I have 0 nostagia for a wii mini,and wii u mini,lol !

N64 games are smaller than you think. Here's some examples....

Super Mario 64 = 6mb
Goldeneye = 11mb
Banjo Kazooie = 16mb
Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of the biggest at 59mb.

So depending on what games they can get access to and how many, they might need more space. They will need better hardware to run the games full speed and accuracy as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come until 2019 and the concentrated on selling NES and SNES in 2018.

While I wont doubt you on the size,and believe me im shocked they were that small,but I will doubt you on the size of the controller, the original n64 controller is TOO BIG for a mini console. It would look out of place. The nes and snes controllers worked and looked good, with the minis because they were small to begin with.

If they include a smaller version of the controller, whichever third party that makes a full sized controller is going to clean up.

There's a reason why the Japanese Famicom classic wasn't a popular item for importers. The mini controllers killed it for many people (like me).

Diddy Kong Racing has a few characters that now belong to Microsoft.Banjo,Conkers ect & i can't see Nintendo editing out the characters so DKR might be a no no.
