Greatest movie of all time.

I will own this Day One. Hopefully the November release (or later in the States) gives me enough time to upgrade my setup.

Here's hoping this presages other Warner catalog perennials at least getting announced for UHD in the next 12-18 months. The Fugitive, the already-mentioned Heat and Amadeus (even though I love my current Digibook). Although a marketing stretch, I'll take a remastered The Last Samurai when Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (which reunites Zwick and TC) hits UHD (that is, if Par pulls their heads out).

I would buy Amadeus day one regardless of which version they give. Would prefer both, though. DC is stronger but theatrical deserves to be preserved.

I also held out on the remaster, figuring this would be an early UHD-BD release. Can't wait. In the meantime, I'll go home and get my effing shine box...

I'm very pleased with the mastered in 4k blu and would love to upgrade when I have the appropriate equipment. It's nice to see some top tier catalog flicks considered this early on.

The Dolby Vision grade has been up on Vudu for quite awhile. I haven't heard any complaints yet.

Mean more grainy.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre UHD (1974) 16mm negative film look more grainy.

Goodfellas have 35mm negative film look less grainy.

Considering the uproar over the 25th anniversary disc, I'd expect this to be quieter. At least I hope.

Indeed. I used to regularly watch some of my favorite movies recorded at the lowest quality vhs setting (EP speed) and had no problem enjoying the films.

If they produced a quality 4k scan and restoration from the OCN's, there probably will be.
