As a fan of the 1984 film starring Helen Slater, and Laura Vandervoort's performance on Smallville, I think Kara really deserves her own movie in the DC Cinematic Universe. Aside from Melissa Benoist's enthusiasm, I really can't stand the current TV series.
So, here's a thread to discuss the subject. If WB decided to include Kara in a future DCCU movie, what would you want to see? Who would make for a good Kara in your opinion, acting alongside Henry Cavill as Clark? What kind of story would you like to see told? I'd love for them to include Brainiac and the shrunken city of Kandor, or even the renegade clone Galatea. Since the "Snyderverse" has established Lex being able to manipulate Kryptonian science, they could even combine the two...having him create Kara as an opponent for Superman only to lose when she sides against her maker. I admit such an effort would be challenging to pull off, but with the new Wonder Woman film coming up, and Marvel planning a potential solo entry for Black Widow...it could work if done the right way. What do you all think? |
