Would love to see The Stand finally make it to Blu, although since it was shot on 16mm (as opposed 35mm) film stock, the overall "bump" probably won't be as significant, though hopefully the original camera-neg is still accessible. And yeah -- the VFX work likely would've been composited on lower-grade NTSC videotape (as was common for science-fiction TV projects of that era), so we'd probably be looking at an "X-Files"-type upscaling-situation, given that it was produced back in the early '90s.

I think I heard that before--shot with 16mm. Wasn't It also shot on the same film stock?

It may not benefit as much on HD, but I'd be happy if it's on par with the X-Files or The Evil Dead. It would also be really nice to have the whole feature on one single-sided disc (assuming it all fits, I forget if the movie's five hours or six and what the max capacity is for a good BD).

Salem's Lot is an absolute given since there's that German blu-ray coming out in a few months around the same time as It.

The other title? I really hope it's The Dead Zone for the sake of more HD Cronenberg.

Folks, it's not The Dead Zone. That's Paramount. As are Silver Bullet and Graveyard Shift. Storm and Stand and Maximum are Lionsgate.

All I had to do was peruse my snapper-case DVDs and the three Warner Stephen King movies (outside of the already announced IT) that haven't made it to Blu are:

Salem's Lot, Cat's Eye, and Dolores Claiborne.

I forgot to add graveyard shift to my list of silver bullet and maximum overdrive lol! Here's to hoping, but I doubt it.

Dolores Claiborne is good too, so I'd be down for that as well.

My final guesses:

Cat's Eye

The Lawnmower Man or Salem's Lot

I'd be stoked if it was Lawnmower Man. I do feel like we're due for that title, it'd be amusing to see it released as part of a Stephen King promotion, with him suing to have his name removed from advertising it.

Could be, yeah. Mick Garris refers to the 16mm-situation several times on The Stand's audio commentary track.

I know, but I seriously doubt they are doing any more Paramount titles on Blu considering their arrangement is supposedly coming to an end soon. Wasn't American Gigolo the last Paramount Blu Warner did in January?

Could be any of these actually:

Salem's Lot
Cat's Eye
The Shining (TV Movie) - Makes sense if IT & Salem's Lot are the other 2, that they would round it out with another TV movie.
Dolores Claiborne
Lawnmower Man
Hearts in Atlantis
The Mangler

Am I the only one dying for an HD release of Dolores Claiborne? Easily one of the top-ten underrated King adaptations (probably because it's not a horror film).

Oh yes. They will be mine.

I re-watched Salem's Lot and It fairly recently, but I haven't seen Cat's Eye in years. Great little film.

Also, is that director's commentary for Salem's Lot brand new? I don't recall the DVD having any extras, except possibly the trailer.

The DVD did have the commentary.
