Hmm, can't see how you could get the two mixed up really. Are they above/below each other on the drop-down?

Anyway, annoying had The Innkeepers in my basket and it just went OOS. Coincidence, I wonder?

I've been predicting this for about two years, supposedly they owned the Bergman catalogue as well so hopefully they sell off the rights to their stuff and other companies and we get lots of groovy blu-rays finally

Would be amazing if Arrow could get Donnie Darko, but I guess they won't seeing as they probably couldn't get the US rights as well

I really hope Hollywood Classics won't be affected, or at least will be taken over by somebody willing to keep them going. They've acted as a useful intermediary for dozens of Arrow, Eureka and Second Sight titles. Without them, will it be harder or easier for these labels to license from studios like MGM, Fox and Universal?

They could very well improve on the encoding and provide some cool extras, provided they have the chance. It's a great film and deserves a luxury treatment after years of cheap DVD reissues of both cuts.

EvilJames from Soda posted on the Criterion Forums that Soda have acquired Brady Corbet's The Childhood of a Leader, so I guess there's a silver lining to Metrodome's demise (presumably). For the sake of relevance, I wonder if that one will get a Blu-ray release...

Nice one. I was really interested in that one and only realised today it was being released, had to pick between that and Tickled (I was double billing with Weiner-Dog) and picked the later, but the fact it will hopefully be available will make it easier to catch up with. Seems like a good film to go with The Reflecting Skin honestly.

So, went to order What We Do In The Shadows from Amazon and, oh, it's Prime only! Your loss, Amazon!

I hate that policy. It feels pretty desperate when they're trying to convince people to use Prime by making specific items exclusive. If anything it puts people off using them...and before anyone asks, I personally don't use Amazon as much as I used to since their pre-order prices stopped being competitive, so couldn't justify subscribing to Prime.

The funny thing was that it wasn't on Prime a few days ago. I wouldn't say they were cashing in on the Metrodome thing, but...

The DVD of the "The Tribe" (awesome, controversal movie btw!) was also released by them, maybe we will see a European Blu release now in the near future by someone else... but still so very sad to see them go!

I must confess, part of me is wondering who will take their crown as the kings of completely misleading packaging and retitling - their tendency to completely misrepresent the content of the East European films they distributed in particular (all of which regularly got great reviews on Amazon from people who mysteriously never reviewed product from other labels) was something of a company trademark.

Another ex-Metrodome DVD resurrected on Blu-ray!

Lionsgate are releasing Last Exit to Brooklyn in the UK on 2nd November - maybe to tie in with Requiem for a Dream 4K the same month.

Extras:

Audio Commentary With Director Uli Edel And Screenwriter Desmond Nakano
Making Of
Deleted Scenes

It’s worth noting Metrodome’s UK DVD also came with a promo reel, photo gallery and I'll Be Better Tomorrow documentary and 3 hours of audio interviews with Selby Jr. etc.

Official upload:

I considered buying the Special Edition DVD with the documentary recently, so I'm glad the new Blu-ray has been announced.

I'm surprised Metrodome disappeared to a point but it was a case of when I did work experience for them I was giving them all these ideas of stuff they could sell or do and it all sort of fell on deaf ears. I wanted Metrodome to do better because I knew they had potential but getting stuff out without any enthusiasm while re-releasing the same Transformers boxset again and again seemed their priority.
