From HD Goofnut's List of International BDs with Better PQ, AQ, and/or More Extras thread.

L.A. Confidential
US/UK/NL/FR - VC-1 22910 kbps, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 1464 kbps 16-bit, extras, English subs (Region free)
JP - AVC 29870 kbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 2028 kbps 16-bit, extras, isolated score in DTS-HD MA 5.1, English subs (Region free) Best PQ/AQ
Oh I know, I love that list and use it often. The problem with it is that sometimes the differences are so small you can't even tell. So are you saying LA Confidential is a big big enough to notice? Because it's going to be hard to find now.

For me they do not use regular DHL, but DHL courier.

Regular DHL is awesome.
But the DHL courier crap is trying rip me off every time. I try to avoid them at all costs.
(no, they are not the same - DHL courier actually drives to my home specifically and when I'm not home, I won't be able to get the package from the post office, I have to call them specifically)

I can recommend http://www.fromjapan.co.jp. They are a Japanese proxy service with very cheap fees (5%). They also offer very cheap SAL shipping (for items < 6000 Yen) and also ground shipping, which is even more cheap.

They of course charge you the domestic shipping too including bank transfer etc. (if you ordered directly you would have to pay for that too), so keep that in mind.

They also quite often offer 5%-10% off for rakuten, yahoo auctions.

And they also let you buy from suruga-ya.jp - which is a very large warehouse with tons of items, tons of rare stuff and very very good prices. They also don't charge domestic shipping for orders => 2000 Yen.

Got that one really rare Silent Hill DVD from there (not the crappy movies, but the video game one) for almost nothing. I also got the NICO Special DVD from there for 300 Yen lol (goes for 40 bucks+ on ebay).

I hate ordering from Europe. 4 problems I have with anything I order from Amazon DE/UK/FR.

1. Some (UK/FR) refuse to ship games to US for no legitimate reason.
2. Marketplace sellers fulfilled by Amazon sometimes don't ship to US even though Amazon does. WTF?
3. Lately, 2 of the 3 shipping options show the same exact goddamn delivery estimate.
4. These *******s email a tracking number and tell you they shipped your order, BUT i-parcel/DHL doesn't receive until 3+ goddamn days later.

That's just some of the problems I am having when ordering from the US to Europe.
Just saying.

Amazon Marketplace isn't really Amazon though. They are just private retailers, so your arguments are not really about Amazon, but about retailers in general.
