False. I saw it in IMAX and there was no sequence that was shot using IMAX cameras. It's displayed with a portion of the black bars the entire time on the IMAX screen.

That's interesting you said it reminded you of The Three Amigos, because that movie was influenced by the original Magnificent Seven from 1960. I remember reading that somewhere before.

I think this is the most violent PG-13 movie I'd ever seen, and what a body count! Still I really liked it a lot. Here's hoping Sony continues it's streak with this one.

It's solid, not amazing -- but definitely entertaining. There's a good balance between noisy action and character scenes. My only criticism is that it's maybe a touch more violent than it needs to be -- but you could say that about almost any movie nowadays. It is certainly rewatchable, so I'm buying it.
