They also got the (meh) Vandread compilation OVAs that Geneon never got. And whelp, there's another I remembered I need to add. I think FUNi in general is missing the video extras Geneon got.

Hopefully people that care about extras will find this helpful.

Anyway, I'm going to try replacing some of these ANN links with Blu-ray.com ones sometime tomorrow even though I doubt that many entries have been made. There's so many DVD releases missing, especially singles.
I hear you. I tried to transfer over a massive thread from another site and this forum's software was crippling. I eventually gave up. The character limits are also too strict in PMs on this site.

Something I'm now thinking about is maybe I should still list out the affected series in bold, but turn that into a link to the releases portion of its Blu-ray.com entry. That could save me time and characters as far as linking so people know exactly what release(s) I'm talking about for a specific series missing extras, and what they look like so they know what to look for. Though there's so many older anime releases still missing from the database (from my collection alone, there's 70+ releases missing from the database I need to add).

An example of what it would look like:
Quote:
Baccano! Aniplex USA Blu-rays
The Aniplex USA Blu-rays are missing the English commentaries, as well as the promotional video, and Baccano! Propaganda Program (AKA Baccano!: The Complete Guide) extras which are present on FUNimation's DVD releases excluding the singles which have only English commentaries.
What it currently looks like.

Baccano! Aniplex USA Blu-rays
The Aniplex USA LE and RE BDs are missing the English commentaries from FUNimation Entertainment, as well as the promotional video, and Baccano! Propaganda Program (AKA Baccano!: The Complete Guide) extras which are present on FUNimation's DVD releases (1st box set, Viridian Collection/Anime Classics) excluding the singles which have only English commentaries.

Yea, especially for DVDs there are a ton still missing from the site.

The shortest link format I've found for releases (not the "movie" entry that you are looking in to using) is either
Code:
or
Code:
for Blus and DVDs respectively where id is the number at the end of release links. This will link to the release by redirecting to the URL that includes the long title in it.

I've also found that writing a script to generate the output takes care of the BBCode and character limits much better. I store all the data for the premium packaging thread in a SQLite DB and generate the posts using a Python script.

Replaced all ANN release links with just the Blu-ray.com releases page for each show (despite the many, many, many missing releases). This should look much better, though I have to now rewrite certain portions. This will save me time and characters in the future though.

The blu-ray of Locke the Superman lacks the original 1980s English dub that's on the previous Discotek DVD. Reportedly this is a problem on a lot of Sentai releases, since they don't want to pay to license dubs, to the point where they'll make their own so they don't need to license one.

Sentai’s release of Locke the Superman doesn’t include an English dub, period. This is one of the few license rescues where they didn’t record a new dub.

Viz Media's release for Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon SuperS are missing the karaoke OP/EDs from the Pioneer DVDs.

The Discotek Blu-ray for New Cutey Honey is missing the portfolio gallery from the ADV DVD. I'm assuming this was an oversight or they couldn't get the clearance for it. IIRC the portfolio isn't on the Japanese DVD or BD.

Sentai Filmworks' release for Big O (obviously) lacks the original clean opening from the Bandai DVDs. The staff interviews are also missing.

Being as the thread is now active...The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that the 08th MS Team Blu-ray is missing the "More Information on the Universal Century" shorts that were on the old Bandai DVDs. https://myanimelist.net/anime/5723/K...huu_Seiki_Yowa
https://anilist.co/anime/5723/Uchuu-Seiki-Yowa/

Also Funi's Wolf's Rain bluray is missing the no credit ending variants except the first. Although that kind of doesn't matter since the text is separate.
