They have their charm. I guess a Hellraiser box set won't feel complete unless it includes all the films in the series, even the crappy ones. We have complete collections for Halloween, Elm Street and Friday the 13th - now we need Hellraiser and Children of the Corn . The fact that they're with different studios poses a problem, though. Has Arrow ever collaborated with Miramax/Dimension?

A US version of the Scarlet Box with the addition of the DTV sequels? Even better.

Worst case scenario, this is just a downsized version with the first two films and the box set exclusive disc, but I hope that's not true.
That'd be quite an accomplishment on Arrow's part if they were able to obtain all the flicks in one box. haha

Personally, I hope it's a US release of The Scarlet Box.

Although I wouldn't protest if it was a boxset of the first four Hellraiser films.

If it's a franchise collection, my interest will drop to zero. I don't want no scrubby DTV sequels mucking up what could be a top-notch set.

Would prefer a Hellraiser box, but this would be sweet as well. Did Rex ever even get a US DVD release?

My preference is just all of the Doug Bradley installments.

Keep that cash grab P.O.S. Revelations away...though if Arrow can put out a massive Herschell Gordan Lewis set, a massive Hellraiser set wouldn't hurt even if it meant including the stinkers too.

Out of curiosity, how much was the UK Scarlet Box? I'd imagine if it was a re-release of the Scarlet Box it'd be in the $60-$70 range in the US based on their prices for other boxsets.

I am kind of hoping for the films past the first 3 for selfish reasons as I already own the Scarlett Box set.

I actually liked part4 so even a new version of that would be great for me. The rest are forgettable.

I have a gut feeling the US set will only consist of the first two since they have the deal with Lakeshore. III is a Miramax/Dimension title that is handeled over here by Lionsgate, who rarely works with small labels. (Lakeshore owns international rights in conjunction with Miramax, so thats how Arrow got it in their UK set)

I think that it'll be the first two films as well. Since Lionsgate has the rights to part 3, I can see them releasing it as part of their Vestron series.

We may get III in the set if Barker is involved and somehow Lionsgate is motivated with enough sales potentional. Wishfull thinking though.

Same here. I ordered the Scarlett box back when it was still in print.

I would be open to buying a Region A trilogy set that included the first three films, some good special features, good remastered transfers and good cover art/packaging.

But no way am I spending big money on a box set in which more than half the movies are absolutely abysmal.

Bought the UK set a few months back, but I'd sell it and grab this one if the framing on the third film gets fixed. Hoping it's not a straight port of the UK set.

Eh, I think we're looking at a Blood & Black Lace situation. Just a standard North American version of the UK release (even though Blood & Black Lace was already region free) and probably no additional goodies. Hopefully i'm wrong though. I like Hellraiser enough that I might get rid of my UK standard edition to grab a US Scarlett Box if that were the case.

The framing on Hell On Earth won't be "fixed" because Arrow denied it ever being wrong to begin with.

Very excited about the possibilities with this announcement. A solid US release of the films means I can clean house of all the other various versions I've acquired. I highly HIGHLY doubt the announcement will cover all films however as there is a new film currently in the works and that would just seem odd to release a complete set now with that film looming in 2017. That leaves a potential 1-3 release or as another mentioned 1+2+Clive Barker Bonus disc. Seeing as how Lionsgate has finally been motivated to release their catalog I'm expecting this announcement to be for stand alone editions of parts 1 and 2 since they are currently with Image.
