Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl 4 - Movie Collection

I know that it's likely not going to happen anytime soon, but it'd be great if Manga Home Entertainment / VIZ Media could either release an 8-film set (original voice actors) or at least re-release movies 4-8 (4Ever-Lucario & The Mystery Of Mew). I would just rather have something more complete than different sets not released by the same company. I'd be fine with the recent 3-film set, another for movies 4-6 + a double-feature for 7 and 8.

I think 4-7 are still with Miramax (Viz has streaming rights to 4Ever though).

I saw on the official Blu-Ray.com page for the steelbook that the audio for this release is DTS 2.0.

I was hoping for 5.1 but if it's in fact 2.0 I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

I just wish the studios would work together and release a big box set with all of them, and divide the sales based on which studios had the most movies within the set... and then maybe we'd get the shorts too, the shorts were better than some of the movies.

This site lists it as a Best Buy exclusive but it's also available for pre-order on Amazon.

No. Some of us Pokemon fans are casual anime fans and really have no reason to visit the subforum. Besides this is a north American release, it's in the right spot.

I'm planning on going tomorrow anyway; if I find copies in-store I'll post to let you know.

Thanks, I seriously appreciate it. I'm actually going to a showing of Pokemon The First Movie after work at 7, so that will take up my night.

well, still not available online yet but it lets you check stores... every one of the stores that show up for me all say "fewer than 3 left in stock", so hopefully Amazon has it eventually and the price matches Best Buy because I definitely can't get to the store tomorrow to get one of the 'less than three' (aka 1 or 2) copies they have in stock.

Yeah, I went last week for the Hunter x Hunter SteelBook and they only had 3 copies when they opened. I was the only one buying one at the time, so I am not sure how long the rest of the stock lasted...

Grabbed a copy at Best Buy this morning. It was a bit of a struggle as apparently the copies they had were in a box in the back labeled for December.

Same thing happened to me; they had a spot on the shelf but it was empty. When I asked, they looked in the back and mentioned the December release date, but the associate checked the site on her phone and because it showed today as the release date, they brought out the four copies they had.

Great news: All 4 movies come with DTS-HD 5.1 Surround tracks along with a Stereo track.

My store got 4 copies including mine and all of them had something wrong with them. 1 had a spine slash, 2 (including mine) had a ding and another had what looked like a box cutter slash in the middle of the front cover.

I went with what was held for me on pickup and was just happy to even have it. I'm not used to going through multiple copies of things to find the best condition one.

In case anyone has the steelbook it has no special features whatsoever. Then again unlike the first 3 none of these movies had special features to begin with so that's fine.
