The new 3D Mario game at launch would be awesome but I'm looking forward to Zelda more and if I had to choose one game to hit at launch it would be Zelda.

Yes, in New Donk City. It's the "hub" world.

What I'd like to know is how Donkey Kong became the mayor of the city?

I can't wait for this. Looks like a challenge. During the Treehouse event they stated that Mario Run is for causal and this is for hardcore players.

Bring it!!

They said the same thing about Galaxy 2 on the Wii. "Galaxy was for novice players, Galaxy 2 are for the experienced"

Just as easy.

What are "sound box elements"

Around the 22-second mark in the video.

Rewatched the trailer and got even more excited. Looks so great!

I wonder what implications of the hat being alive is gonna have on story/gameplay

It looks like you could get different hats that have different abilities which could be cool.

Exactly!!! And for some brilliant reason, they're waiting almost a year to release it. I'm sorry, but it's a no brainer that this should be a day one game.

Here I was all excited to get a Switch in a couple months, but looks like I'll be waiting almost a year to get it - and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

This looks so killer. I haven't been super into Mario before, but this looks really good!

Missed the Best Buy pre-order. Already sold out.

Wish I had gotten in on it. Would have been an easy flip for profit. This will obviously sell out on launch. You get Zelda on Day 1, you'll wait an entire year for Mario.

Here's the briefer version. The Mario footage starts about 12 minutes in after all the weird Japanese intro stuff.
