What was wrong with her New Year's performance? I didn't watch any network TV on New Years. I've been reading articles about her voice is not near as good as it used to be, and I've notice her popularity has diminished.

Supposedly she had to walk off the stage in shame after forgetting the lyrics to her own song.

Thanks you I just googled it, and watched a video clip. Yes it was a horrendous! She practically talked through the song: Emotions, and was lip syncing terribly on We Belong Together. She's been struggling to reach the high notes, and was told that she may have damaged her vocal chords, and can't sing like she used to. This is not the first complaint about her live performances, there have been quite a few that's been subpar and her fans were very disappointed. I think she need to take a long break from the business until she get herself together, and make a comeback when she's ready because right now Mariah Carey's live performances have not been good at all. It's different when you're in the recording studio because the vocals can be amazingly altered technically

She had an entire European tour this year and sounded great throughout.

Either Sony did not want to license Little Women to Mill Creek or Mill Creek did not want to license Little Women from Sony.

There's no twisted logic, Mill Creek obviously wanted this so they can cross promote it with Carey's TV show and Mill Creek would get more exposure to consumers. It is all about money to a small operation like them.
