The other eight episodes. The premiere was the first two episodes linked together.

On edit: Unless you watched it on-line, and have just seen the actual first episode.

I watched it on the NBC app, but you're right that it was the first two episodes strung together. Then yes, I look forward to the remaining eight.

Is who the lion? There are several "she"s.

It seems fairly clear that Dorothy will be The Beast Forever (will come from the sky, has a brain and a heart...)

So I imagine by now, they know whether its continuing or not. And as you said, probably not.

I watched the two-hour premiere, and while certainly intrigued by the characters, backstory, and other aspects of the mythology, I wasn't so drawn in by the plot itself. I didn't find myself emotionally invested or engaged.

I'm planning on resuming soon, but does that change at all? Does the pace pickup? Does it become more involving/interesting?

I started "Taboo" on FX around the same time, and in comparison found it so much more engaging with the hours going by fast.

Is there a certain point in the season where it especially picks up? I finally watched episode 3, and I was no more impressed than with the first 2. I want to like this, being an Oz fan, but it's feeling like a slog to get through.

If you're not sold on it by the third episode, you're probably not going to care for it overall.

I've enjoyed the show since the beginning but I feel it started to really pick up with episodes six and seven, we start to get a lot of answers like who the Wizard was and how he got to Oz, who controlled the stone giants, and answers to Lucas's past.

for Dorothy and Lucas, definitely not the way I expected things to turn out for them but they brought it full circle I guess. I'm curious who the guy Dorothy released was, I'm guessing possibly the Beast Forever. I'm really looking forward to the season finale I just hope it ties everything up and doesn't end on a cliffhanger.
