The BDA has declared "victory" several times already, and I expect them to do so again at CES!

However, as soon as WB announces "exclusivity", I think the war will be over.

Given the hints regarding CES, even if WB doesn't announce that week, I expect CES to be the beginning of the end... hence my voting for Jan-Mar, 2008.

After the news of the 8+ million PS3's worldwide as of Dec 22nd I'm alot more happier. Other then that this Christmas the BDA doesn't seem to think this is a war and isn't really helping with the limited sale prices I've seen this Dec.

That being said they aren't going away as early as everyone wants... Im saying Fall in 09'.

The BDA has its work cut out for them if they are going to continue to not really do much !

Honestly, IF Warner announces Blu exclusivity in the next month or two, the industry and consumers will follow behind them almost instantly (aside from Universal - who will go gradually over the course of the entire 2008 year, and Paramount - who have no choice in the matter). So, my guess (based entirely on the premise that Warner will be Blu exclusive by February) puts official victory somewhere close to October... before the X-mas season starts. After all, retail stores won't want to carry HD DVD at all since Blu-ray will hold AT MINIMUM 70% of the HDM content market share. There is just no call for wasting THAT much shelf space on a product that won't be moving.
