The Canadian release comes with a digital copy and a slipcover, but also has the annoying bilingual text.
Bad Santa 2 doesn't deserve it's bad reviews. If you liked the first one you should like this one too - it's more of the same raunchy nonsense. As Billy Bob Thornton said, he made the sequel to appeal to fans of the original. Many reviewers are giving the original some undue praise, claiming it's some sort of "classic", and criticizing the sequel for not measuring up. I disagree - Bad Santa 2 simply allows fans to spend an hour and a half again with our favourite holiday misanthropes and enjoy some vulgar guffaws along the way. |

Bought my BD copy here in Australia.
Reading through the thread I can understand being upset about no Slipcover... (although they are very rare in Australai). Fair enough. But Digital copy... Who gives a sh*t. And what's this I read about wanting to buy a streaming copy (early on in the thread) rather than BD. Sacrilege! If your not interested in getting the BD please head to streaming.com. Oh wait, there isn't such a site? That's because streaming is an inferior way to watch movies at home. It only serves the studios to make more money. Poor PQ, attrocious lossy audio. And when your internet goes down, what are you going to do then. Streaming simply sucks. F*ck Digital. Blu-Ray all the way. ![]() |

Saw this in the cinema...
it's not terrible... I even laughed a few times... but it really missed Zwigoff's direction. A lot of the comedy in the first film comes from character beats, rather than set-pieces (like 99% of comedies these days) like this tends to rely on and it doesn't have the same sense of pathos. It also looks a lot worse than the original, too! While the first film was hardly a spectacle, it at least looked like a film... this looks like a DTD release with cramped, indifferent framing... and it has to be said, that while Christina Hendricks is a gorgeous woman, she's no Lauren Graham. |

Bad Santa 2 needs a lot of editing done to it before it gets put on regular tv. It’s on Netflix I know that. And it wasn’t very popular when it was in theaters and it lost money so I doubt stations are going to jump at putting this on tv plus like I said it needs a lot of editing.

Bad Santa 2 is not that popular so these stations are not going to rush getting it on them. What’s it matter it’s just a movie. It cost money to show movies on TVs and HBO and not $20 it cost these stations a lot more to get the TV rights to movies so they are spending money on more popular movies.
