Are you at "prime memory age" or something?

For anyone - there aren't any of those dumb cameo pop-ups, are there? Like Hammerhead popping his head out of the water during a battle scene or something.

I get that this is the society we live in now where everyone has to spread everything or be "the first" to see something or know something but can't we all just enjoy things without spoiling them for other people? It's all upsetting and makes me happy I saw the movie at a preview screening.

People are seriously just the worst.
It's all over YouTube and Instagram. (So is the rest of the movie sadly)

Oh yeah, there are. There's a cameo on Jedha that made me cringe.

I don't like you either. You just watch yourself. We're wanted men. I have the death sentence on twelve systems.

You don't really have to spoiler anything in the spoiler thread.

And, btw, that part made me laugh out loud...as did the pilots from the Death Star. I clapped. It's awesome.

Yeah, fixed that.

I smiled at first when they bumped into our main characters, but then felt they overdid it when they actually turned around and said something. And the camera stayed on them long enough I thought "Oh they want to make sure we notice them!"

TBH, I guess I was so thrown off by EVERYTHING being so foreign during that first half-hour that I welcomed anything familiar. I forgive them for it because it really amounts to 10 seconds of screen time, if that.

R2 and C3P0 are seen when Rogue One ship is leaving Yavin, so they had plenty of time to get on the rebel cruisers heading for Scarriff.

Of course. I don't even know why this was a question.

Well I thought it was terrible.

There were a few brief moments where I felt my pulse quicken: the psy interrogation beast was fun, using the Macquarrie art concept for Vader's castle was a nice late movie surprise, the space interiors porn, the costumes were good, the camerawork was specific and bought out the texture.

CGI Tarkin was terrible and really ignores what made him great to begin with - a character actor delivering a fun performance. Which then highlights how much the movie wasted it's potential. They had great character actors in
Mendelsohn, Mikkelsen, Whitaker. All as good or better than Cushing but didn't bother to give them anything to work with (or later chose to edit out any personality the actor may have bought to the role).

The use of action and war without any half way thought out context of politics or contrast of philosophy seems to mindlessly plug the neoliberal war machine to children and radically goes against what Star Wars as a concept has ever stood for. I wonder if Lucas is angry that his creation has been so terribly tipped on its head? This is the inverse of what Star Wars should be and a retraction of ideas for the movies. They sorely need to get Lucas back on board in some creative capacity to set the ship right.

Lucas reportedly loved Rogue One.

I suppose you don't see any actual irony in me criticising the neoliberal military machine and you posting a gif of the royal family dropping a bomb.

I could not see any plotholes or continuation errors in the film.

One thing that I found odd is that they brought all the large ships for the scarritt attack. We know from jedi that they dont really have any offensive capabilities..

Can you elaborate on that? And how much screen time does Moroff get?

Because aiman04 in his review for Rogue One pointed out that C-3PO and R2-D2 were on Yavin and not the Tantive IV at the end of the movie.

I realized I could be wrong and asked for confirmation from others. As was said no big deal. We're here to discuss, I'm open to be corrected and gladly so.
