Killjoy was supposedly renewed for a 4th and final 5th season.

This show was a co production between SyFy and Space channel in Canada. Anyone on here living in Canada tat can tell me if Space Channel alone could keep this show going, at least give us some closure.
And before someone says it I'm saying it now I doubt Netflix is going to pick this up

I hope but I'm not betting on it. The EP said the fans deserve better. Ouch not a fan of how it all went down I guess.

They will likely write and film both seasons back to back to save as much money as possible. So this will likely actually happen.

Seasons used to be 20 episodes! They should've renewed for 40 episodes!

Given they renewed for 2 final seasons it most likely will happen and given the writers will know the end is coming no god dam cliff hanger at the end of the series.

Dark matter had similar ratings to Killjoys but I noticed Dark Matter Universal has no Blu-ray/DVD rights so maybe that could of had influenced the decision to axe as well as it had more episodes compared to killjoys.

I hope space decide to continue with the show in even a reduced capacity since they coproduced the show rather then follow syfy's lead.

Either way please being season 3 to Blu-ray. I also noticed in the EU for those without region A players that a German distributor is putting out season 1 on Blu-ray in November. The fact that a German distributor is putting season 1 out on Blu-ray, I have some hope that season 2 and 3 will get a EU Blu-ray release at some point.

Syfy seems to kill off everything at or before season 5.

I believe after season 5 actors are given a raise because their initial contracts are maxed out at 5 years and need to be re-negotiated; Syfy's budget is therefore busted.

Dark Matter cancellation sucks.

Amazon.ca just sent a email saying it was canceled. However I'm not worried yet as .com still has it and .ca has a history of having 2 preorder windows, first is always short but it always comes back. Hope that's the case here.

Late to getting these blurays. Season 2 and 3 seem cheaper in german version and easier to find. I assume these have the “speed up feel”? Also do the imports have any extras or extended episodes the north america versions dont?

I always regretted not picking up all three seasons on Blu-ray, not thinking they would actually go OOP permanently. I found a seller on ebay selling all three seasons on blu-ray for $150 with most listings I have seen are trying to sell one of the seasons (two or three) for the same price, so I picked it up, considering unless person was able to get them on sale, the blu-rays originally ran for about $40 each.
