Is this another BD-R?

It's a pressed BD-50 containing two films, making it the first actual pressed Blu-ray for the first film, although it's the slightly different grindhouse "42nd Street Slut Cut."

So Kickstarter Backers will be getting the Grindhouse Cut of DGN & Frankenstein Created Bikers and the non-Backers will not? Or is the only difference the Numbering of the Kickstarter Blu-Rays?
It's a bit confusing because there was first a Kickstarter for the film, and then another one recently to bump the disc up to a dual-layered one with Dear God No! included. Far as I know, the backers of either KS get the same package, same disc content.

However, once this pre-order is over, Frankenstein Created Bikers will be on a BD-25 without DGN. I'm not sure if the BD-50 goes to retail and it'll be a limited edition, or if it's just for pre-orders through KS.

Howdy backers! I wanted to give you an update on the discs. We ran into some problems with replication but manufacturing is under way at QRS in Los Angles, CA. During this process Japanese subtitles had to be omitted but French and Italian subtitles were added. You can also access "suspect" Dutch subtitles from your remote but there is no menu to access them. English, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles are still on there. The good news is that QRS has some really high quality standards and manufactures for the top Hollywood studios so we're expecting some top-shelf discs that will stand the test of time.

Speaking of time! The timeline we're looking at now is the discs should arrive via ground to our warehouse around February 28th and we'll immediately start addressing packages and sending them to our backers. If all goes according to plan, you should receive them 1-2 weeks before Amazon and other retail customers.

So I teased earlier about a special surprise on the disc....

We put together a special program under the extras called "Let's Go To The Drive-In". The inspiration for what I do has always been nostalgia of growing up at the drive-in the 70s so I wanted to capture that magic with a smutty twist. This feature will give you the experience of watching a grindhouse style double feature with fake snack bar ads, announcements, intermission and trailers for some of the films that I saw this past summer on the festival circuit. The trailers include Sophia Cacciola and Michael J. Epstein's BLOOD OF THE TRIBADES, Justin M. Seaman's THE BARN, Luciano Onetti's FRANCESCA, Ron Bonk's SHE-KILLS and Jonathan Straiton's NIGHT OF SOMETHING STRANGE. All these films fit nicely into this niche.

Double feature you said?

Yes, when you chose this option on the disc, the first film will be the FRANKENSTEIN CREATED BIKERS prequel DEAR GOD NO! in it's grindhouse version. This version has never been offered domestically on anything but VHS. It did end up on the U.K. and Australian DVD but it was cut by the British Board of Censorship. This is the first time it has been available in HD. After the intermission, the disc will go into FRANKENSTEIN CREATED BIKERS. This will gill the viewer 4 hours of entertainment! The perfect excuse for inviting your friends over, tapping a keg and projecting onto a sheet in the backyard.

One last thing. After you watch the film....
You know and I know there are now no Japanese subtitles...
So what happens when you click on the Japanese subtitles button under the set-up menu? I dunno...

Thank you for your patience. I can't wait to get these in your hands. Please post your discs on social media when you get them. Your buzz helps us sell discs which keeps us independents making films.

All the best,
James Bickert

I got a message from kickstarter, the director has sent out kickstarter preorders and amazon release was pushed back a week so kickstarter backers could receive their copies first!

If anyone has not picked it up and wants to, a local shop here has received a bunch of the signed kickstarter versions and put them online.

Is the Kickstarter version the only way to get the drive in double feature version of the 2 films?

According to USPS, I've got a package on its way from Georgia that should arrive tomorrow. If I had to guess, it's my copy of this. Looking forward to actually getting it in-hand.

I believe the version currently being sold on Amazon has the double feature according to the product description.

I don't put much stock in what amazon says though. I will just order the Kickstarter version for $34 and it's signed so that's a plus

My copy did indeed arrive yesterday! One bluray/one DVD, and signatures galore. If I were smart, I'd have taken a picture last night to post...but the point is that it's here.

Well...it's on my desk at home and I'm at work, so not "here" here...

Did you watch the film already? How does it compare to Dear God No? I enjoyed that one and this movie sounds even more wacky.

While I haven't seen what's on the disc yet, there was a digital "pre-release" for Kickstarter backers, and yes it's pretty wacky. If you liked DGN, you should really like this one.

I got the trading cards. Honestly, I don't remember at this point if there was more or not.

The blu-ray came with two trading cards but for initial kickstarter backers we were supposed to also get the digital soundtrack, the trading card set (not just two cards), and a Bigfoot film cell.

I got the two cards IN the case, but also a set of 5 that was packed with it. If I've been sent a link for a digital soundtrack, I don't recall...which is unhelpful, and there was no cell. I wonder what the deal is with that?

My copy came in today. I just did the preorder so I got the movie with two trading cards. Also, the director said for anyone who got the movie via kickstarter to comment on there or social media letting them know you received your copy

I had a feeling something like this would happen. I personally was looking forward to getting a Bigfoot film cell. This whole kickstarter project has been a mess. I guess I'll have to message the director once I actually receive my package.
