Thanks, lilboyblu. I had always discounted the streamlined Arrow release because I thought I'd be missing out on too much. However I hardly ever watch the short cut of Deep Red, and I already have it on my Blue Underground disc. Looks like the only thing I'd be missing would be the soundtrack, which is a bit of a shame, but I could always purchase it through iTunes. Looks like I have another purchase in the future.

On another note, I'd love to get some news on the future releases from Blue Underground, Synapse and Code Red/Scorpion. They're teasing a lot, but very little real information.

Tyler

PS: As suggested, I added Five Days of Milan. I skipped it originally because it's not a horror flick, but for the sake of a complete list, I included it.

Is the Arrow remaster of Deep Red much better than the Blue Underground? The caps I've seen have better (less yellow) color, but seem softer.

I'm having a hard time finding a copy of the Koch Inferno Blu-ray Disc. Does anyone know where to find it?

Edited to add:

Also isn't there a new version of Inferno from Arrow that's different from their initial release?

didn't know how to say that in English but this is definitely the case!!!

As far as I'm aware, that's identical. Only the artwork has changed.

Yes, it's much better. I upgraded from BU to 4K mastered Arrow and was very pleased with the end result. btw Just had a quick look at caps-a-holic to check that I wasn't nuts.

The VCI Entertainment edition looks great too, I have it. Isn't it sourced from the same master as the BU?

No date yet

There's also a forthcoming 2K scan of The Stendhal Syndrome from Blue Underground. No date yet either.

Same here.

Changes are I'm gonna end up with Arrow's Bird, Cat and Phenomena by the end of the year.

So about Four Flies, I guess the best thing to do right now is to hold on to the Shameless release and wait for someone else to pick it up and release a remaster? Perhaps Arrow next year?

Regarding Opera, it says in the opening post that Scorpion is releasing this but shouldn't that be Code Red? Incidentally I asked about Opera in the Code Red thread earlier today unfortunately no answer from Mr. Lustig.

God bless independent labels. We should really be grateful for their work.

IMO, the best English friendly version of Flies is the German version. However, the BEST version of Flies (with forced subs) is the Italian. Not a fan of the Shameless at all.

It's Bill Olsen btw, he'll have a laugh if you call him Mr Lustig, 'cause you know, other labels are rich blah blah blah.

Only when they do it right. Not when they do it half-heartedly.
