Well, yes to a point, mainly because I always need to worry that it is a crappy HD-DVD port. BUT, if the audio is at least lossless, then I usually will go for it. But Goodfellas for instance, one of my favorite movies, I have NOT gotten for this very reason.

Its almost a completely different movie in HD, get it and give the dvd version to a family that only has dvd.

Talking about it makes me want it.

Is this a must have title?
you can always rent the blu ray version from netflix...there are no delays on troy Ive checked, get it in a day keep as long as you want.

I think to myself, "It doesn't even have HD audio, but then again neither does T2 and that has an audio track that good rival many other movie's HD tracks." I'm sure everyone has a certain movie the same as I do.
Most people will not notice the difference (if any - small) between lossess/compressed and uncompressed pcm audio. It is NOTHING like the difference between SD and HD video in which everyone's Grandmother could tell the big difference. I don't understand why this makes people not want to buy a movie they otherwise would. Also, that is not really HD audio in the means you are mentioning..but I am guessing you are using the term to describe compressed audio vs uncompressed?

You're both reaffirming my questioning of why I haven't bought the Punisher. I said that I like the T2 track and because of that, I shouldn't have any reason to not want to buy the Punisher. So clarify for me what HD audio are you saying I'm talking about, I didn't say anything about any movie with HD audio in particular.

I hesitated on the grindhouse double features, Planet terror and death proof on DVD and I finally just got them this mourning actually. Theres one more for me and that is 300. I went to my friends and he loaned it to me on DVD and I have to say after being afraid of even renting this movie, that next time I go out it will be coming home with me on Blu-ray. 300 is now one of my top movies for 2007 and I feel stupid for ignoring this wonderfull movie.
