Well, uh, good for them I guess!! Here's hoping they get all new transfers instead of being stuck with a crummy old one like they were with P2.

The one new feature I'd like to see is that weird open matte version of the Euro cut. I'm sure they wouldn't have it, but it would be cool! No way am I buying the massive Italian set just for it.
Yes, because I already have all three cuts. Not on Blu, but -- I have them. Include something new, and I'll be on this like white on rice.

Cool. I am way late to DotD and just recently got the DVD in hopes that someone would release a new BD package. I mean this has to happen eventually, right?

I have the Italian set which includes all 3 versions on Blu and the Euro version in UHD but if Well Go can get some of the bonuses seen on previous English versions I'll go for it yet again

I just hope they (or if this is a wind-up, whoever gets it in the future ) have better luck with restoring it than Koch had with the Argento cut. Before Danny takes me task again I'll take his word that the actual restoration was stellar but the video release of it was a bodge job, quite frankly. So when I say "restoration" in this context it's about doing the work AND managing to carry it across with a certain amount of transparency to the intended home video presentation.

I won't hold my breath, but if this does come to fruition, I'll be all over it as long as it has the US theatrical and has a better transfer.

I thought Well Go acquiring the Phantasm franchise was way beyond odd but, lo and behold, judging by what we know so far, they seem to have hit the ball out of the park by putting together a fantastic-looking set. If they really have Dawn of the Dead I expect another top-notch release but not holding my breath for a set anytime soon.

Yeah, nobody predicted that Well Go would get Phantasm.

Due to Well Go being able to get product into the B&M stores like Best Buy and Walmart, and the fact that lots of money was spent (wasted IMO) on a 3D conversion of DOTD, this partnership does make sense.

Well Go does seem like the only company that has enough money to pry this and Martin away from Richard P. Rubinstein's death clutch.

Did Arrow video announce a restoration of Martin for the UK, or am I imagining that? There's no correlation here I'm sure, but just as Arrow and Well Go have concurrent Phantasm sets, who's to say that they haven't secured Dawn for outside of the US? Oh, a man can dream.

I'd absolutely buy this, I don't care the label, as long as it's good.

Hopefully someone will pick up the original Night of the Living Dead's new 4K transfer.

Well it was a matter of time before someone would release this in the US again. Looking forward to it. I contemplated buying the OOP version for a while so now I'll just wait a little longer if this is really getting released

For those of you who have no use for the 3D version, please don't belittle those of us who have been wanting it on home video for years now. Everyone has their preferences. I want them to get this totally right. We all want the best possible scans, and the open matte version would be great.

But I will say that 3D Blu Ray is probably the last opportunity for 3D fans to own Dawn in 3D on home video. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it exists, and to not utilize a rerelease as an opportunity to make it available would be a sad missed opportunity.

This hasn't been moved to the wishlist section, so I guess it's legit.

What I found odd, was that this started out as an April Fool's day joke, where I assume Well Go was more or a random label to say they were getting it, and then someone else just says it's true. Like why didn't they say so before? It's just strange for it to unfold like this. As others said, Well Go did shock everyone by getting Phantasm, so maybe they did it again.

I think you've imagined that. Maybe you are thinking of Arrow's undated releases of The Crazies and Season of the Witch?

If they have this, then they probably also have The Night Flier & Martin.

Shoot, I forgot about The Night Flier.

That one needs a blu-ray too.
