received my 3rd order today (Macbeth Signature Collection) in a corrugated cardboard mailer, once again arrived in great condition.

That was the last of the orders I placed for their Olive sale. I'll definitely keep my eyes to for future sales from wowHD

I had pre-ordered this set from Amazon.ca for $77.99 but it's not in stock and I'm getting a quoted arrival date of July 25-August 22nd. Because there's no GST on the Wow order, I'm getting it for a fraction less than the Amazon order. Amazon currently has it for $106.57.

Well, had my first negative experience with this site. I had a pre order in, but noticed the price dropped on the item, and with pre orders, they don't reduce the price once you've placed the order. (They told me the first time you have to cancel the order and place a new one at the lower price. Shitty, but ok, fine.) So this time around, an item I ordered dropped so I placed a new order for it, and wrote in to them to cancel the original one. I never heard from them, but just assumed they got it and would cancel it. (After all, you don't get any confirmation emails for anything but placing an order). Well, they didn't, and now they've charged me for both and shipped both out yesterday.

Great prices, and fast to ship products out, but damn if their customer service could be improved. I don't see a number on their site to give them a call at all either so I can talk to an actual human being!

This site is operated by the same people who operate ImportCds and Deep Discount and those sites aren't exactly known for their customer service.

they dont have a phone no. and dont try calling the deep discount c/s even though ur order ships out of the same place and they can pull up your order they will refuse to help u once they find out the order went though wow hd.

next time if theres a price drop contact there c/s by direct message on facebook i was able to get a price adjustment done though there before. were there email support refused to do it.

That's a good idea. I find some places deal with customer service matters better via social media because everyone can see if their service is crap. So it's no surprise they will respond.

So which facebook page is it? I found one WOWHD but the website link is the UK.

Finally got around to making my first order from wowhd.ca yesterday.

I'd had three Scream Factory Blu-rays on order from amazon.ca since June 23rd (Angry Red Planet, The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake and The Evictors). I just kept getting emails telling me that the ship date was getting pushed back... but the prices were decent so kept them on order.

Checked out wowhd yesterday, all three were cheaper there, so decided to put in my order through them (also threw in The Lawnmower Man and Island of Terror for good measure as they're quite a bit cheaper than on amazon.ca) and cancel the amazon one.

Shipped in less than 24 hours.

So far so good. Here's to hoping the shipping time is decent and the packaging is better than amazon's "I'm going to throw this in a bubble envelope and hope for the best despite the best never actually happening".

Nah, they come in cardboard envelopes.

And I can say that I had an order shipped to me that they didn't cancel in time, so I just marked it "return to sender" and I got my refund yesterday

That's about $2 less than what I paid for it through WowHD. It's shipped but not yet arrived. Do they do partial refunds when prices go down (like Amazon does)?

Thanks for this suggestion; I contacted them on Facebook a couple hours ago, and they've already processed the refund!

I was told by CS that if a price drops on an item before it ships, I had to cancel the order and place a new one at the lower price. Good to know they'll honor lower prices after the item ships out though.

As their CS is not always the speediest when you have to e-mail them to cancel an order. The reason I didn't get my previous one canceled on time is because they said they didn't get my e-mail because their e-mail system was down for 3 weeks!

one time i was trying to cancel something and thing thats super funny is if u call the phone number for deepdiscount c/s and give them the order number they can pull it up. i say can i cancel it the guy says sure and puts me on hold then after 10 mins hes like oh u placed this order on wowhd i'm not aloud to cancel it u have to email...

hate when stores have no phone or live chat support and dont have a way for u to just cancel the order on your own.

Got my copy of Mask of Phantasm today. Ordered on August 4, and received Aug 15.

Same cardboard mailer as mentioned above. Was a little nervous that it might not have been enough protection. Perfect condition.

The packaging for this Warner Archive MOD release is not HQ at all.
