What he ^ said. HMV seem to only ship to UK addresses.

Just got it the mail today. The only downside is no bonus features (as on the UK release), the thinner than usual blu-ray case (thankfully not an eco-case, though) and no reversible English artwork.
At least there is an option for those outside of the UK and France. Those are all reasons I personally would want the UK release, though.

DVD only next month, from what I know of.

Hell, I just had a bunch of foreign blu-rays of movies that don't have US blu-rays delivered Monday and yesterday (Christine '16, Pet and the currently "coming to US theaters in September" Friend Request via Zavvi..and of course this film through Amazon.es).

Makes me feel special.

Not sure though how much he would charge for shipping and packaging to US, so how it would stack up versus Amazon.es

Worth the question though.
Thanks so much for the response!! I'll shoot him a message.

^^ Yeah, if it was available via Amazon at the current price, it'd be around $15 shipped (they always knock off a couple dollars during checkout for some reason). uk Amazon offers extremely low cost shipping to the US. But it's a completely different story when it comes to every other Amazon. es Amazon offers this, but shipping adds about $10 to the total. I order from de and jp Amazon often as well, and shipping is just as expensive. Heck, even ca Amazon adds about $10 to ship to US, which confuses me, as it seems like it would be cheaper to ship to the US from Canada than from the UK.

The deduction is to remove sales tax. As you are based in the US so outside European Union you are not subject to the sales tax we have to pay here. Obviously liable for any relevant import taxes into the US, but I believe you have a very high tax free allowance for imports. Much more than the cost of one BD.

My card has been charged for this, so I assume dispatch will be today or tomorrow.

Hope it dispatches at some time today so I might have it Friday. At this stage though I doubt it, meaning Monday for me.

HMV never deliver pre-orders Friday or Saturday these days.

If it ships today or Thursday then Monday would be earliest for delivery. I find though most new releases not arrive until Tuesday.

Even more so cos mine is going to Parcel Motel so won't arrive till at least a day after regular UK addresses. I'm not in a rush to get it but it would have been nice to have it for the weekend.

Mine has just dispatched, unless HMV ask Royal Mail to delay these slightly (or mail issues), it ought to turn up Saturday.

Yep, dispatched here too. Looking forward to watching this again next week, still one of the years best in my opinion.

They mail 2nd class these days, and since they changed postage at the start of the year, Thursday despatches arrive Monday and Friday despatches arrive Tuesday.

Ahhh..I see. I wondered why it never showed the correct amount until checkout. Didn't put it together. Just happily accepted the few dollars off.

Anyway, I did contact cudzndrips, and the cost to go through him is £27. So, as I was kinda expecting, the Amazon.es route is much cheaper. Just some info for those wondering about importing it.

EDIT: I am glad that I held off on purchasing it from es Amazon while asking about it on here though, as it's dropped a bit since I first put it in my cart. Just ordered for €17,18 shipped. These imports drive me insane though, as I have OCD, and my collection is in alphabetical order.

I know they use 2nd Class now, I said 'ought to arrive Saturday' as generally 2nd Class (2-3 days) arrives 2 days after posting. Tesco used to dispatch their pre-orders 2nd Class on Thursdays & they would (ususally) arrive on Saturday, so not sure why it doesn't seem to be the same with HMV.

These days you only get 2 day delivery as a business customer if you use the Royal Mail 48 hours service. HMV used this for a month after moving from 1st class (24 hours service) but then downgraded to 2nd class.

I believe the "service standard" for 2nd class is 3 to 5 days, hence why I said Monday.

In all the time since HMV downgraded their mail choice I have never had a Saturday delivery and that's on well over 50 pre-orders. Can't recollect others getting it any faster than me.
