I might be in depending on the artwork... I have the 4k already on preorder and was going to put that disc into my u.k steel but I'm not a huge fan of that steel so if this one looks better I'll get it

This is what I would like also, but in the end it's Sony, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be the first 4K BD-R disc!

Oh jeez. I have done the same thing with Drive and Pan's Labyrinth. I knew I wasn't the only one that did crazy shit like this!

It is the 2-disc UK Special Edition DVD. Before the US Ultimate Edition was released this was the only release available with extras/bonus features. I bought my very first region-free player because of that import.

I have this version too, I still remember how I was blown away when I first saw the menu flying around. Fun times collecting those DVDs...

Nowadays, no Blu-ray or 4K supprised me that much...

Beautiful collection. Nothing to be ashamed of as long as you don't do it with every movie. I have a few I collect and keep stuff on.

These are less than a month away now and still no artwork. Why wait until the last minute? Makes me wonder if it's awful and they are just stalling. Hard to want to pre order something without even seeing what it is first.

Doubtful, they already released a pop art version of this film last time. Unless they plan on just putting 4k discs in those steels

I knew the other was a WEA steelbook, I see it's from Kimchidvd. They won't likely let that get reused !

18 different versions this member above showed in his post. It never made it on HD DVD, but it's on VHS tapes and LaserDiscs and DVDs, various versions.
All together, including this new 4K BR version, there are 54 different releases of this movie title in all formats, except for HD DVD. Sony didn't make it.

So, roughly three times 18. Good luck on collecting them all. And know this too; without 3D you'll never experience this flick the way it should be experienced. ...That goes for me too, and the reason why I'm asking for it.

Good luck to me too. You never know what new element tomorrow can bring.

Bonus: I'm sure we'll see a future 8K BR release; this is far from being over with The 5th Element.
