To me, this is the difference between movie lovers and movie collectors. Although both share quite a few of the same traits, movie collectors feel the need to own stuff even if they don't like it. Whereas movie lovers may blind buy something, decide they don't like it, and then proceed to give it away or sell it.

No matter which category you fall into, do whatever makes you happy.

If its a movie I want and was looking to buy before the sale was even announced, I almost always feel the need to pull the trigger during the sale, even if my finances aren't great at that particular moment.

Criterion sale, Kino sale, Shout Sale, Arrow sale, Warner Archive sale, Twlight Time sale Vinegar Syndrome sale. I'm all over those sales like flies on shit. Wallet be damned.

I love a good bargain but I still have to want the movie to buy it.

I go to a pawn shop near me once a week. They have about 400/500 blu rays. They are $4 each or buy 2 get one free. That's $8 for 3 blu rays or less than $3 each.

Even at that price I still have to want the movie to buy it. I find some good bargains there. Last week I got the Alien Quad for under $3. Sometimes I struggle to find three I want.

I hate having to pay more than $10 especially for catalog titles.

I will be paying $20 for the Target Alien: Covenant but that is a rarity for me to pay that much.

Hell no. I only buy movies I want to own. I don't buy for the sake of buying and collecting.

if i want the movie then hell yes. i love cheap who doesn't. i will say that there are movies that i wouldn't buy at full price that i certainly would at $5.00. i have a huge collection of movies on DVD so often i do have to think twice on whether to up grade or not. if cheap enough then i don't have to think as hard and yes have a tough time saying no (provided i do like the movie enough to bother)
