I hope this is a fake announcement so that they can blow everyone's mind at comic con when they announce they are teaming up with marvel the way Sony did with spider-man.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I just want a straight sequel to the previous one. New movie, new chance. There was nothing wrong with the cast, imo.

The biggest travesty about all this isn't so much a kid-friendly FF, but a kid-friendly Doctor Doom.

Will we ever see a proper DOOM on screen?!

I've never seen Corman's film, but I enjoyed Tim Story's first effort very much. The sequel mostly sucked, but Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis were perfect casting choices.

I wish they'd put the damn Extended Cut of that FF movie on blu-ray already! Made it a pretty decent flick, I thought. Didn't care much for the sequel though.

I also have the Corman version on DVD, it's pretty painful but good for laughs at least. Especially Dr. Doom!

I say get real weird with it. What have they got to loose? Let's go low budget 1970's and get Arnofsky or Lars von Trier to direct, or maybe Nicholas Winding Refn.

I get Fox doesn't want to just give away the rights, and by focusing in the kids they could try and position as something different, but I think it's over.

Frankly I don't think the lead FF characters even have much use for Marvel at this point given the brand tarnishment, they seem like ideal candidates for a Quicksilver treatment (characters who they could put in and kill off in one Avengers film), while supporting characters like Galactus and Silver Surfer feel like the better ones to focus on in the MCU.
