I have no problem watching new Youtube videos as these are shorter than 10minutes in length so it's just a problem when I want to watch long videos.

Thanks for any advice.

The older I get the less time I have to watch movies. Unless it's the weekend I rarely have time to watch a movie after work, dinner, working out. Also I'm much more "aware" of time now vs when I was young and I have to decide if I really want to spend 2 1/2 to 3 hrs watching a movies vs all the other things I could do.

Generally I don't respond to posts like this, but I feel very bad for the OP. And scared.

There have been studies done on folks that watch movies on an iPad Mini and how, after time, their eyesight fails, they can't watch new movies because the end credit fonts and that special shade of new-blue causes anxiety and they just can't watch two hour movies because, well, they just CAN'T. Movies that run 1:59:59 are fine and anything over two hours cause no issues at all.

If they continue to watch movies on the Mini, their heads will gently pop off. Kinda gruesome, if you ask me.

Anyway, there's quite a few forums on GeoCities that the OP can visit and learn more.

Hope this helps, because I truly care.

Do you have any advice OP?

Thank you in advance
You don't have a problem. In fact, if it's only 3-4 times the past month, I don't think you're sitting long enough.

Watch more movies.

I have noticed that any new movie these days whether its horror, sci fi, a simple comedy or a wishy washy family drama movie, they always end up being 2 and a half hours long.

Im getting tired of that crap. It needs to stop. Plus Blue Ray and DVD releases make it worse by adding on extended versions making the movies up to 3 frikkin hours

Then check the running times on Fandango and/or on the back of the Blu-ray. If it's longer than your "running time threshold", don't watch them.

Personally, I don't have a problem with long movies. I have more of a problem with 8-10 trailers being shown before the movies begin.

I kinda agree with this, but ultimately a movie should be as long as needed to properly tell its story. If that's 90 minutes or four hours, I don't care as long as its paced well.

Movies are too long to watch. Sitcoms are too short to watch. I find documentary's are just right.

I came here thinking it was a thread about 3 hour+ movies, only to find it is whining by some idiot with an attention span that doesnt last longer than 10 minute youtube videos.
Why are you even on this site?
Clearly this is a troll thread and should be deleted.

Nothing needs to stop. You just need to skip the movies that are too long for you. They shouldnt have to tailor their film to your attention span.
As for extended versions, here is an idea: DONT WATCH THEM.

p.s. it's blu-ray, not blue ray. Look at the big title on the top of every page of this site.

You're the same guy who started the "anxiety from watching new movies" thing.

If you hate movies that much, stop making silly threads, and just leave single trolling comments in other people's thread, like I do.

I've been recently catching up on some of the classics I've missed over the years. A few of the movies I've watched have been four hours long, and I've found that more engaging than shorter films actually, as I've had a really great amount of time to connect with characters and settings and such. Of course, work and kids make it hard to find four strait hours to watch a film. So for some (not all) of these, I have watched over two nights (intermission makes this really easy, it's like a thing that says; "Hey you! Go to bed now! I'll be here tomorrow"). So maybe you should do this with all films.

Or not watch films. Maybe you're more suited to another hobby. Try comics. Cool little stories, condensed to 16 pages or so. Quick to read. Fun to enjoy. Pick up another at your own pace.

I have a confession to make. I haven't watched The Wolf of Wall Street yet because it's three hours long.

I'm sorry, guys.

Don't worry about the run time, worry about it being a garbage movie!
