There is a difference between what a multimillion blockbuster can spend on these type of very complicated computer genrated effects and what a small indie movie can afford. Jennifer Connelly is emaciated from beginning to end of Shelter and she is in almost every scene. That would require a complicated effects for nearly every shot of a film which had the budget of the catering for The Martian.

I just had Matthew on the mind because I was watching one of his Craig Ferguson interviews yesterday and even Craig noticed how much slimmer he was. McConaughey said that he had lost 15 lbs. and working on losing another 15, then explained about the movie and the role.

That would have a definite health effect, for sure. Its also important to note that while a woman's breasts are the most obvious inherent place to shrink during weight loss, no one's metabolism is the same. Genetics plays a role (no pun intended), and some women can weigh 120 pounds with a natural D or E bra size. I remember hearing about Soleil Moon Frye's surgery after-the-fact (lost track of her after "Punky Brewster"), and feeling relieved she'd gone through it because the weight can truly become a medical burden. As a man, I like well-endowed women...but there's a point where its just too much and I feel more sympathy than anything else. When I see an otherwise-proportioned lady walking around, with boobs literally the size of her head...that's not arousing to me.

Not always; it depends on metabolism and genetics. Some folks can eat like crazy and barely gain a pound, while others stay fat no matter what they try. Thankfully, most people live between those extremes.
