The last time I was in Best Buy, they had a nice Blu-ray display in addition to the shelf space next to HD-DVD . The also had Blu-ray demo playing on a tv. So hopefully they are getting wiser. What would be funny is the 5 dollar DVD bin at Walmart gets replaced with a 5 dollar HD-DVD bin

Just was at blockbuster and the manager told me that they already got a call. My store will be adding a big Blu-ray kiosk and more than double the amount of disks all HDDuDs will no longer be carried....

I don't know about your Best Buys, but the Best Buys around me have long kicked HD-DVD to the curb. The shelf space dedicated to the dreaded red cases are ridiculously small and are consistently shrinking.

News travels fast in the internet age.

Retail is going to react and quickly. I'm sure the BDA has already set them up for this too. Surely the BDA has told them that 'they will want to support Blu-ray and a single format' in such a way that they understand once such an announcement as WB came along it was time.

Didn't Penton already confirm that at least one retailer was going to announce an exclusive Blu-ray move at CES. I think with the news about Warner it's pretty obvious that they will start cutting down their HD DVD sections. Target is almost Blu exclusive already so I anticipate they will go 100% soon.
