Pretty much the same cardboard sleeve as zavvi use. Never received a damaged item from hmv.

I went in my local branch on Saturday. They were still taking in-store preorders,but I heard a staff member say there wouldn't be any left for on shelf sale. They already had them in the store room and he said they probably won't have enough anyway.
