I'm wondering that (about the Boxset) also. I'm assuming it will most likely just be an exclusive with them, and Diabolik will probably get some as well.

I'm in 2 minds about ordering this now or waiting for Diabolik to list. I've got to be very wary of customs charges, though I do believe Severin are mindful of that too.

If they're printing 3500 of them, I can't imagine it would be limited to their store, but who knows. These definitely aren't Suspiria-level of interest where they'd get that many people seeking out their webstore.

I went with the bundle. I'm not much of a horror-shirt guy, but I really dig the pins, the framed picture, and what looks like a fun book to flip through (and the latter seems to otherwise only be available as an UK import on Amazon or elsewhere).

Impressive set. I haven't seen as many Amicus films as I have Hammer, but what I have I liked a lot.

Well, there are only a handful of Amicus compared to Hammer, so that makes sense I always think the other handful of Cushing/Lee movies are Amicus and often they're some other studio entirely (ex, The Creeping Flesh, Horror Express).

Tales from the Crypt and The Skull are their two big classics IMO. All of the anthology flicks are enjoyable, though they're varying degrees of memorable. I also have a very nostalgic love of the Doug Mcclure puppet movies (Land/People that Time Forgot, At the Earth's Core). These are the only other horror flicks they released that aren't anthology movies:

The Deadly Bees (Olive)
I, Monster (I think this is unreleased anywhere)

For anthology flicks, Dr Terror's House of Horror has an Olive release (), Scream put out that Tales from the Crypt/Vault of Horror set, and Torture Garden was on that cheapo triple feature from Mill Creek.

I think the only remaining anthology movie without a blu-ray is just From Beyond the Grave.

It's surprising their output was so small that we'll have all but two of their horror movies on US blu-ray after this set.

Ah! I didn't realise –until your comment prompted me to check– that I could also buy the Pin-Cushing (or any of the other non-film merchandise from the Amicus Bundle) separately!

Thank you, HanaBi!

Uh-oh... I do trust that when Severin encloses that pin in the shipping carton with my Amicus Collection Box, it and the box will be carefully and discretely wrapped in bubble-wrap or some other suitable protection, in order that it will not get chipped, and will not scratch or otherwise damage that box?

It was with Severin a while back, so I assume they still have rights. "House" was supposed to be released on Blu-ray at the same time as Horror Express back in 2011, but only the latter was.

For those who may have interest, a neat little documentary on Amicus was released on dvd in 2012 simply titled AMICUS: House Of Horrors.
It was distributed in NA by Alpha Home Video but there are probably other releases of similiar ilk available.
At about 190 minutes, it is rather an exhaustive doc on the studio's history and excellent information wrt all the films produced.
Highly recommended.

Looks like a fantastic set. A little sneaky of Severin to make Beast Must Die exclusive to the set but, thankfully, the other 2 films in this collection are worthy additions to any horror library. Gonna wait til next paycheck to order the set since I just jumped on some Code Red titles via the bigcartel so I've already spent this week's allowance. I don't think this set will sell out anytime soon.

I've pre-ordered the region-free Indicator/Powerhouse Blu-ray of Torture Garden. It looks to be a solid addition to my horror collection.

They will also be releasing The Mind Of Mr Soames too (no official announcement or release date yet) which is one of the best Amicus movies imo.

Asylum is great. The other two are enjoyable. I'm not sure I'm going to upgrade to the set since I already have them on DVD and haven't watched them for a few years, but if you don't get the set at least get Asylum.

As did I. The Mill Creek triple Feature "Psycho Circus" quality leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately and of the 3 fliks presented, "Torture Garden" is the best IMHO.

edit: also IMHO, the "Vault Of Horror/Tales From The Crypt" double feature is OUTSTANDING and currently, to the best of my knowledge (for what that's worth) is the only way to get the unedited "Vault Of Horror" to date.

I have messaged Severin to find out if the box set is exclusive to their site. I will report back as soon as I get a reply.

I just might end up ordering from them anyway so I can get the book too.

Wow, you're right. I looked up a list of their films and they weren't as prolific as I thought they were.

I've seen parts of And Now the Screaming Starts and The Beast Must Die (back when AMC still had their "Monsterfest" Halloween marathon and a more reliable Fear Friday) and liked what I saw, and never seen Asylum but enjoy horror anthologies, so I'd feel confident making this a rare blind buy if I can afford it.

It was great to see Vault uncut. I'd only seen it once before, the Fox "Midnight Movies" double feature DVD, and it was edited, although I only really noticed one or two moments that stood out to me as "new" on the uncut Blu-ray. And I love Tales From the Crypt. First saw that about twenty years ago when I was in high school and just getting into horror, and was instantly taken with it.

Those Hammer and Amicus films just have an atmosphere and style to them that I absolutely love.
